You're taking a risk if bidding on a zero feedback seller, particularly for a known high ticket item. The scammers are getting smart, they look for things known to have high collectable value so they can get in, win big and then slink away. Personally I would insist on pictures of some obscure feature and make sure they would permit a local pick-up to pay cash or to come by to take a look before bidding. If you get some story like "it's stored at my brothers" or "I am just heading out on vacation", then you know it's a scam.

Just my 2 cents. Hi all, I've been absent, snowed under with work and the "pinball" side of my gameroom for a while.

So... how far IS it from Pittsburgh to Lexington?

It would take me 9+ hours... so, I'm figuring around 5 for you?

The seller says pics are coming soon... plus there's no mention of shipping. It IS pickup only.
Because it's pickup, I don't see the risk here... other than the possibility of a long drive for someone.

It's a pickup only with it showing as being in Lexington, KY, so a person can check it out before buying.

That's a high-class machine to end up on a zero feedback auction.
I'll agree with that, for sure.

Gotta wonder though... a machine like Spin Luck MUST have the ex-husband as a member here.

Maybe we should start offering legal advice.

I guess it wouldn't be TOO bad, if he got to keep a Harley-Davidson machine... and the dog.

The odds of her packing it properly are so slim it would be worth a $100 gamble IMO. I don't trust women with 2 last names anyway...lol.

Price is probably going to go up after she received the following two emails and posted them in the auction:

Someone was nice enought to e-mail me w/ the following information:They were made in Japan for Japanese Parlors. It was used but probably very little as it wasn't popular over there. It is VERY popular here and sought after, in the lower left side of the belly glass you will find a tax tag with the serial number please list it in your auction as you will be asked dozens of times for it, if you don't. It should also be on a white tag on the back of the machine. The number is probably less than 0002500. Good Luck on your sale, wish I could afford it. Pat

I will find the tax tag with the serial number and put that on the auction asap.

Someone else nice enought to e-mail me more information, Here ya go!

this is a VERY collectible machine is you show detailed pictures including the serial number and condition i would expect it to go above $700 in a heartbeat. the last few that sold brought between 750 and 900. it's xmas time so the sky is the limit!! once again treat it like a valuable antique: you'll get lots of question( especially from pachitalk.com members) answer them all and provide great photos and you should do well.

    Thanks Don, good update.

The pachitalk.com members are mentioned in this. Do we have a traitor? or is it that last seller who pulled their Pachi listing because we bugged them about the serial number?
I hope we are not getting a reputation as 'those collectors' the ones who pay too much for collectible items.
I should send her a note telling her what I paid for mine this month. I bet she won't post that email.

    to seller:
I am a Pachitalk member, we are a knowledgeable friendly bunch. We are also bargain hunters. I just purchased a Spin Luck for $300 pick up only not on Ebay but Craiglist. They have gone for more between friends to help a guy out. Good luck with your sale.
