Come on in Mike (Sacpinplayer) and tell these people what you have gotten in recently (pinballs) and you might remind us of all the others you have. Talk about the perfect wife...Sacpinplayer has got himself a great one to go along with his hobby based on the amount of and location of all his pins....How about joining in this one Mike

Although this one is old, probably in need of some TLC and I have no idea of the Theme or Gameplay - it looks like a bargain price - for the moment.....

Just remember EM fans , they are a bugger to keep running. A lot of these EM machines have no or few modern equivalent parts. They tend to like to break down on you at regular intervals. A lot of shop out and repair facilities wont even touch them unless they have an old timer on staff that worked on them back in the day. Heck even the electronic arcade games I have , it is tough to find a few custom IC's without canibalizing another board. I know some of the ram chips are hard to find , there are a few geniuses in the hobby remapping and producing a few parts and pieces, but not many people want to retrowork old electronics

I wouldn't go as far as to say that, I've got a couple of EM machines, and granted they do need a bit more maintenance than a modern machine, but they are dead easy to fix. Most of the time they only need a switch contact to be adjusted or cleaned.

As you said though, if you're not going to be working on them yourself it's going to be hard to find someone with the right skill set to repair them for you, as the industry has moved on to the newer electronic machines. Also unless you have a whole load of experience in fixing EM machines, you need to have a wiring diagram for the machine, and most repair shops don't have a decent library of EM schematics.

OK, Lew. I have, stored in our garage still in the Stern shipping cartons, Lord of the Rings, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Just waiting for my oldest daughter and son-in-law to move a couple of machines from our house to theirs to make room for the new ones. Our first brand new pinballs. Here's a list of our pinball machines in the house. BTW, Lew's correct about my wife being so understanding, with these large machines filling up so much space in our house. Believe me, I know how fortunate I am.

Flipper Fair, King of Diamonds, JackBot, Creature From The Black Lagoon (my favorite), Twilight Zone, Terminator 2, High Speed. Stored in our garage awaiting restoration is Cleopatra. My 79 year old mother loves playing pinball so she has our: Genie, World Cup, and Alien Poker. World Cup and Alien Poker need a bit of restoration.

When we have family and friends over, Creature, Twilight Zone, and the beautiful Star Wars pachinko I got from Arby get played the most.
