You can talk to someone 1/2 way across the country or the world. for hours on end.. and not have to worry about the phone bill

over in the uk we have to pay to a land line but puter to puter they claim will be free forever

Yes, I think a glitch or two is OK....7 hours on a call from PA to Arkansas would have been a little steep

The article says Skype is rolling out unlimited US and Canada telephone calling for $30 per year... BUT, I got an email today saying the price on that is $14.95 for a year, IF you purchase by December 31st.
I've made all my long distance calls with it during November and so far in December, since it's been free.
