auto stop question

I have a machine i bought ten years ago everything works fine except for the buttons to make the wheels stop.I noticed a blown fuse so I replaced the fuse 2 or 3 times but it instantly blows the fuse.My question is will an auto stop kit work under these conditions or is it time to throw it out? the machine says on it Universal Oriental Big chance

youneed to pull the stop buttons clean and reasseble them then try it again. what model machine is it? i may have parts.

pulling the stop buttons wont do it you need to replace the reel stop board its the small one you replaced the fuse on . you have a short on the board most likely right below the large electrolytic cap (470 micro farad)theres a diode and a small cap that cap has a tendency to short and cause fuses to blow . you'll probably have a hard time finding a replacement but you never know .whats the number on the board ? should be something like ac1293 p2. and no the auto stop wont help it uses this board to stop the reels in the same manner

Jeff is correct, an autostop won't fix it. If you have another machine with a similar stop board, try swapping them to see if that fixes the problem.
