You didn't come off that way at all. Issues are issues. I'd love to say you're out of your mind and everything is perfect. It's not. It's as perfect as I can make it at the present time, from our end. Certain things are simply out of my control.

If I can ever get to the point where I can afford a T1 coming into the house, I'll set the PC up as a server and run it all from here. It's highly unlikely that day will ever come as we are a niche site, by nature we'll always have a smaller audience. If we were a commercial site, we would have revenue to draw from to operate in such a state. We aren't and we don't.

This won't keep me from trying to make this the best site it can be and offer the members as many useful features as possible while maintaining the family atmosphere we've all come to love.

I was not being negative either this is a great site, with great people, I understand the server load at times can back things up, all too well. If we don't let the good people who watch our backend systems know there are hiccups then how can we expect things to get better or avoid getting worse.
I don't expect Tulsa to buy more server, it is only if we can pass on any known issues can we expect a resolution.
Like when a vendor ships parts and they get damaged in shipment, if we don't inform them of the shipping problem how can they fix the problem?
just my 2 cents, Tulsa you work way too hard on this site and I appreciate it.

Tulsa I have seen a lot of competitive sites and I am fairly new here and absolutely love it I agree with Slothappy144, you are doing a great job and i appreciate the tools and information I am able to get from the site along with some good conversation, keep up the good work

There are no REAL competitive sites...just wannabes. Anyway, I just came in here to post that I've been having problems too, but now that I've seen Tulsa's explanation, nevermind. I'll add that the new "Problem Ticket" sections are a fantastic idea! That's a great way to separate the "tech support" type questions from everything else.

Well hopefully a potential fix at least to one item came from our hosting site today. One of the items we've had an issue with is max_user_connections. They had me change an item in the config file. So we'll see if that helps us out.

The advertisement loads first for me...in the middle of the page which is unusual. There is a about a 8 second hesitation then the page loads. I use IE 6.0 and ATT DSL.
