GAKU is a most trusted vendor on PachiTalk. There are several that we would do business with over and over. His site lists what machines he has available.

Plus there were more playguides on his old site. I don't know where my link is, but last time I checked they were still available.

BTW, has items NOT listed on his ite as well. That's how I got my mint condition Sinbad Adventure for $199 shipped. It's pretty cool he has the manuals online for free...that's superior customer service!

Hi guys, thanks for your reply again. I have a question about Gaku. I called and spoke to a Japanese man there, i believe. I asked him about a lucky cherry and gave me a price, but I don't know whether I should go with him or Stealth Home Ammusesement. Is there any difference in the way they refurbish their machines?? Thanks

Gaku and Stealth are both reputable dealers and active Pachitalk members. Both will treat you right.

More than likely the "japanese" man you spoke to was Gaku himself.

Hi again guys. Gaku treated me fine, however their warranty isn't as long as Stealth. BTW, does anyone know who currently has a Popeye up for sale??? I think both Gaku and Stealth offer good prices, but it seems like the Stealth website is more thorough. What's your opinions on this??

I think both have decent websites.
Stealth has free preview videos... Gaku has free manuals and user guides.
And I have found both to honor their warranties.
Have you had a warranty problem with Gaku?

Gaku's 90 days warrenty and lifetime tech support sounds good to me.

these machines are built like Timex, they take a licking and keep on ticking.

usually any problems happen in shipping or right after delivery.

We're not going to pit good dealer against good dealer here.

And both are excellent dealers. Period.
Both provide nice, clean, near perfect machines, as long as you don't buy the Scratch N' Dents or "raw" machines... (in which case, by my experience(s), you should fully expect to clean both of those types for yourself.)

I asked if you personally had a problem with Gaku's warranty, because I never have.
I've never received a bad machine from Gaku... and all have been cleaned thoroughly... even the "cheap" ones.
I've had him take VERY GOOD care of me, even after a "stated" warranty expired. Your mileage may vary, of course.
And Stealth states a "lifetime warranty" for some items... not all items. Read it fully, and find out what is included with your quote. How long do you think you'll keep the machine, or do you think you might sell it someday? Will you be saving the original box? ETC.

There's really not much more to say, other than if your mind ISN'T made up already (which it appears)... flip a coin.

Basically at this point,You will get similar machines from either source. So you should pick the dealer closest to you. THis way you get it faster and the delivery guys don't have as much time with it.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

They are both great. I have bought from both (and others) and every one of them have treated me perfectly.

As far as each site is concerned, Gaku recently had to make a major change because of the name of his old site. It used to be much more elaborate, but I like it the way it is now.
Check my member page here or...

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

I have not bought from Milt at Stealth, but if the forum says he's good, beleive it, as far as Gaku, I have bought from him and spoke with him on the phone a few times, here's my honest opinion. He goes out of his way to make sure you get a good working machine, will not sell if he does not think he will be able to get parts for future servicing, the machines I received were very clean, not trashy or scratched, didn't appear abused, all lights worked there were no chips, dings or missing items. He packs machines very well, which helps prevent shipping damage. He notifies you of shipping with tracking info very promptly. I would not hesitate to buy from him again, which I intend on doing very soon!!
