Default Question About Oxazaki Lucky Cherry/Sammy Popeye Pachislos

HI I AM NEW TO THE PACHISLO WORLD, AND I AM INTERESTED IN PURCHASING A MACHINE. I AM NOT REALLY FAMILIAR WITH THE CONCEPT OF USING THE MACHINE BUT IT DOESN'T SEEM VERY DIFFICULT TO GRASP. SHOULD I HOWEVER START WITH A LUCKY CHERRY MACHINE OR GO UP TO A PREMIUM MODEL POPEYE MODEL?? WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BTWN THE 2 MACHINES? THANKS, I HOPE SOMEONE CAN HELP ME

The concept isn't difficult to grasp. There are some nuisances of game play for each machine, but learning those comes with time and play.

Start with the best machine you can afford. That is not necessarily the most expensive machine either. Unless you're looking in the ultra premium world of a Spin Luck or a Harley Davidson, you can still get a great machine at a very reasonable price.

Let the theme of the machine be your guide. If you like or relate to the theme somehow, you're going to enjoy it all the more.

There's museums and videos and journals and posts oh my! A wealth of information about machines in general and some very detailed and specific information can be found within our halls. Browse around, read, watch soak it all in over a cup of coffee or whatever your choice is. Take your time, there's no rush. A man in a hurry always pays more.

I Just Hope Someone Can Help Me As Far As The Differences In These Machines, Because It Seems As Though The Lucky Cherry Is More Simpler To Use

    Default Welcome

    Hi and Welcome!

I'm wondering, does it require extra effort to capitalize the first letter of every word or did you do that naturally? Glancing at your last post made me think it was a very long title to a country music song. Anyway, like Tulsa said, go for theme! If you just grab the simplest machine (or the cheapest) with a theme that you have no particular interest in, you may get bored of it quickly and may even....gasp...be turned off of pachislos completely.

You're better off browsing through dealer sites (check the Links on here) or on ebay, looking for something that catches your interest and then asking for opinions here and/or looking it up in the museum.

I have no idea about the Lucky Cherry. I'm guessing it's a basic 3 reel with no video? Popeye is a higher end machine that usually comes at a premium price because of the familiar theme and "hi-res" LCD. There are plenty of good machines in between as well. Don't worry about complexity...they all have the same basic play and whatever specifics there are in gameplay, most likely someone here will know or there will be a playguide somewhere i.e. Gaku's site.

It would probably be difficult to find someone that has both of these machines to give you a very detailed answer about the differences. Pachislos all work the same way: Spin the reels and then hit the stop buttons. All the other differences are directly related to the theme and many you have little or no control over, so I wouldn't think there would be an issue with one being more simple to use over another. There is a great review on the Popeye in the museum and I found a video for the Lucky Cherry through the vendor link to Stealth Amusement. It really does come down to which theme appeals to you. To browse the museum, you must first register with your same registration info that got you to the forum. Wait for your reply, and your in. Who knows, you may find something in there that appeals to even more than the two you listed.
