Default One more step toward 'Parlordom'!

Getting something you never see for sale - "Special" Premiums. These are what you get instead of prizes to redeem around the corner for cash. From left to right - 1,000Y, 500Y, 100Y.

    Getting 100 sets=

    Real world value
    160,000Y ($1391.30)
    64,000 balls (@ 2.5Y per ball)
    29.75 fevers (@2150 per fever)

The seller in Japan has 1875 sets. Sell for 10,000Y per 100, 20,000 for 300. Didn't have enough money for more

Well, you know how it is! I'm trying to quit slowly!

Thing is, these never come up. You could find a parlor still using these (about 10 years old) and cash in big. The newest things are RFID and holograms to verify authenticity.

    They're actually charms.

yes they do look like charms,

we do that here too, usually they have a frame for coins goes around it and it turns the coin into a charm. of course they do this mostly for British Gold sovereigns

They're actually smaller, maybe the size of a quarter, I think.

Next, to justify the cost ($869.56!) of this

I have seen a few things that have to do with the cards, not sure if they can be written by the parlors. I think they are purchased 'loaded' from the manufacturer, at least the older ones are. The newer parlors are going to mostly cash or 'member' cards, cuts down on fraud. The more parlors that switch over to the newer systems, the more of this stuff that will come available. Heaven Help Me!!

I've had designs for my own 'Special' premiums, but these came along first. Now I have to knock a hole in the wall around the corner of the house so they can be redeemed!

I've got a couple of reader/writers. The thing is, the CR cards aren't standard. I need some software that can read raw data from the cards. Also, have to figure out where the data is on the cards (no visible magnetic strip). I have one card (newer style) that has a little window in it filled with a powder that reveals the numbers on the card (in a dot-matrix fashion). I'm sure there is other information not shown. I've got a line on a couple of old Paqy cards (should work with my units), both used, but look to still have a little credit on them. If I can only reproduce them I'll be in business!

Also, make that 2 steps (only 10 more to go, right?). Also getting some trollies (no handles, will make them out of conduit). These are used to take the 'winnings' to the counter.
