Its a great deal if you are close and can pick up. If you have to add another 50 plus dollars to that price for shipping, then your looking at 100.00 dollars for a game that may or may not work.

I didn't see where it says 30 day mechanical/bulb warrenty. I saw "no warrenty". I will have to go back and look again.

I might have seen it whn I clicked on the individual machine it might be linked to the general desription of the machine.
your absolutly correct is does say as-is no warrenty. now anyway. OK as-is is a gamble. I was wrong again! It happens alot.
Each machine will be just as we recieve them the hopper, token mechs, reels computer boards are there and all bulbs tested to make certain they light up.

Ahhh... but Stealth has a $30 "pickup fee" per machine... so not that much less.

I did not know that. I thought he offered free pickup. Your right not much difference then.
I'm just spoiled now by having a place in the area I can pick up for free at. It realy allowed me to try a ton of games I never would of thought of buying and I could sell the ones I didn't like localy for at least what I paid for it. Paying an extra 50-80 a game for shipping, I would never of been able to do that.

Thats too bad. Maybe he would consider a special deal for pachitalk.com members.

I am curious whether or not Gaku charges also?

no, Gaku does NOT charge for pick up unless you want the box and all the padding. Or at least that was the case 3-4 months ago...

I carry 200 blankets (no, I don't make the bed when I get home!), so packing isn't an issue!

When I had called about his inventory, he said if there is no box required, then knock off 50 off the price. thats if the price included shipping, and as long as it wasn't a special deal to get rid of some inventory

I know EXACTLY what you mean doc, the way I look at it, you are saving them the trouble and labor etc. of boxing and shipping. and by picking up the machine is increasing their odds of selling more stuff to you while you are there......

I think milt has an understanding with local pachi dealers in his area.

They buy from him to resell locally. so he discourages local pickup.

but, do wholesalers pay a $30.00 a machine pickup charge????

the "dealers"???? from what I gather, no..... so if they sell them at what he sells them to non dealers, they make a 30usd profit...

I understand that's his stated policy as well...
But I'd never drive the 4 hours up there to buy from a Rochester "local pachi dealer"... I'd only drive that far for a deal.
And I'm sorry to say it... but that $30 hurts the deal.

Milt charges the $30 because if he didn't then his local dealers wouldn't sell any cuz Milt would be cheaper.
If you buy wholesale from him (6 or more machines) then you don't pay the pick up fee. We have been doing that for about a year and a half now, to sell at our local Comic/Gaming shop.

Did you guys know that some of the pachinko dealers on ebay blamed the high shipping prices on the price of gas? Gas has gone down and shipping really is not as much as they are charging. Why is ebay allowing this? Not only that but $75+ to ship a machine is just crazy. And that may or not be with ANY balls. And lets blame it all on the 400 balls we are getting from them. I payed $10 to have a thousand shipped and so that extra $5 for 400 balls is just inflation. I do not know if I am making much sense but it all is clear in my head. To much to say and not enough time to do it. Kinda makes me mad. I wish I could do something but in the end it really doesn't matter what I have to say.

And the pick up fee just adds to thier profit. What are we paying for? their time? For us to buy things from them? Get Real.

You guys have it right. It is like paying to shop. But hey people will buy it. So why not charge it?

i agree compleatly with the views on a pick up charge "good morning sir welcome to wal mart that will be $25 entry fee please".......:no>

but shipping fees are difrent as it comes under shipping and handeling trust me a well packed machine and i mean a real well packed machine like mine or arbys take at least 1.5 hour to pack and i dont mean throw it in a box with a tad of recycled bubble wrap i mean packed so the only casualty in shipping that arby has had is when a truck actualy ran the machine over its the weaight of teh packing that puts the price up to if anything arby has been known to loose on his shipping price factor in

    price of packing materials
time for packing the machine up
    waite of packing
transporting machien to ups ect depot
all costs the vendor in the end its no good slapping a machien on the scales and saying well it will cost 26/30 kilo in weait and thats it
