    Default Election confusion

I don't know who to vote for this Tuesday!

I'm getting at least THREE telephone spams PER DAY now, and no less than FOUR junk-mail postcards and flyers daily. I can only imagine what the next few days will be like!

But they aren't telling me who to vote FOR... only who NOT to vote for!

Not a single candidate has promoted his/her campaign by attempting to explain THEIR stance on issues in this election. Not ONE has mentioned their OWN name!

    Only mud slinging!

And, of course, the return address shows some bullcrap like "People for Protecting Your Children's and Small Furry Animal's Future Rights to a Better Drug-free and Pollution-free Non-Global Warmed America" or such.

One even had a pic of a big-eyed little girl, holding a teddy bear, looking up at the camera with the caption, "Mommy and Daddy... who will YOU vote for?". And STILL it never mentioned who she wanted elected... only who will condemn her to a life of hell if I vote for THEM.

I've never seen it this bad. Tales of the "other guy" having a drug abuser in his family... or a kinky sex scandal or mistress beating uncovered... or alleged ties to the underground.

It's so bad, I wouldn't be at all surprised to see or hear about some candidate's Mother being a hooker, soon!!!

Ooops! Maybe I shouldn't have given them that idea.

I agree LP. I was recently called to be a "Poll Watcher", something I have done in the past. I feel bad, but I called back and cancelled. I am just thoroughly disgusted by the bombardment of negativity this year and cannot bring myself to stand up and do volunteer work for this election. I will however cast my vote.

I too am sick and tired of this sort of crap....

we just had municipal and regional elections here.
same sort of crap going on.. Very very tired of it especially all the tv coverage...

he did this she did that, everyone avoided the what we are going to do like the plague....

it leads one to think is this what its all come to?

If you want to find skeletons in your closet just run for public office. I don't choose a car based on how bad the other cars are. "your less likely to die in a firey hell with the new '74 Pinto." We a r conditioned to avoid potential problems, it is a stronger force than a good campian promise we all disregaurd the camapain promise as empty anyway, right?
I am so tired of the mud slinging, makes a person feel bad for voting for anyone as there is so much negativity during the campains.
Negative adds should be completely banned. disallowed! voter turnout might actually improve.
I might be wrong, I often am.

The phone calls made the front page here, elderly people are getting a lot of them and complaining, also all the extra junk mail from the people running for election.

They had a don't call for soliciting and the politicians disregard it and still call.

If companies do this they get fined.

I be a independant voter and the phone calls to the shop are worse than the bookie joint across the street.

I tell those that call , I need a way to the poles snd a meal and I can vote more than once, I would vote for them again.

On the day I wonder how many people will be here to haul me to the poles and feed me.

The joke is the pole where we vote is a half block away, this year wemight have all of 42 people vote. Super cool.

    WOW!!!

Today's mail had a flyer with a politician actually naming himself, stating his record, and his stance on issues!
Of course, this was from the guy that beat up his mistress... so... I guess he had to resort to a clean campaign.

Another flyer just went TOO far over the edge.
    Talk about mud-slinging!!!
It compares a candidate to... (*gasp*)... HILLARY CLINTON!!!
Now THAT'S hitting below the belt.

Hay I live in Chicago, dead or alive vote early and vote often.

Actually it's kind of funny, this year they are trying out a new touch screen and a early voting. I voted yesterday at the liberay down the block from me. No standing in line or driving to the poll place. I hope they keep it.
