Yonkers Racino

As some of you may have heard there are a few horserace tracks around the country that were given the OK to install slot machines in their facilities. They are called Racinos
Yonkers Raceway here in NY is one of them, They were allowed to have them while undergoing renovations to their track so now they have slots and no horses LOL.
They opened the doors to the Racino just last week and since its only a 40 min drive from me, I wanted to see what spanking new machines looked like and checked them out today! I got there at 9 this morn and they still havent finished installing all of the machines. They have 1500 out of the expected 5000! The restaurant and other areas are still being installed so everything is new new new. The machines are all video slots, no reel slots and they are pristine. I was told by an attendant that some havent been played yet!
Dahlia and I apart from about 20 other people in the racino, had the place to ourselves for the first 2 hrs.
The machines are really nice. They are for the most part smaller then my Haywire circa 80s-90s slot machine but larger then Pachislos. They all have great looking cases, all high tech looking, with molded forms and contours. The days of chrome seem to be gone as most of the surfaces were flat black. Its really cool to see flawless machines, some even had that fresh from the factory smell. I took some pics of machines and some vids. I wanted to take pics of lots of really nice looking machines and their top and belly glass as well as some of their cool shapes but during the shooting of a vid of Alien the security guys came over and said that they had been watching me on their cameras all through the casino and wanted to know why I was taking pics and vids of the machines and that I was to cease. So I only got a few pics and some very short vids. I only used the cam for a few minutes when I first got there before the party was over.
I think you guys will get a kick out of the Spam machine!
I saw a woman win $1000 on a quarter machine 777.
I won $100 so it was a cool day in a new racino around new slot machines.

Same machines we have here at the racino 2 mins from my house (Finger Lakes Race Track) at first I really liked the machines but after a while they got boring, compared to my pachis. My dads won about 8-10k over the last 3years there. It's hard to win anything at the racino locally unless you have a lot to spend!

Eddies first picture are the Bally Alpha games. The Blue LED normaly lights up the coin tray but since the coin trays are removed it makes a nice blue glow on the floor. The make them for reels also but NY is video only. We have the reel version here in Delaware. Also check out our new Roulette game to be in Casinos and Rasinos very shortly.

Yeah they had one but I couldnt take a pic. It was large but not as large as the Giant ones that I have seen In AC or the super GARGANTUAN one that I have seen in Vegas.

Ahh! I love the smell of slots in the morning. (Or is it the smell of napalm, Apocolypse Now saying) Anyways great pics, you should take a look at IGTs site http://www.igtonline.com I spend many hours there drooling when I'm not on this site. I just puchased a Aladdin Pachislo parts machine from Milt today. I plan on making it into a Mame slot machine with touch screen and surround sound. I can't wait to design the graphics for it. I want it to look like something from the casinos Eddie was at. My dream job would be designing graphics for slot machines. Someday!

Of course, I will post progress. I get crazy with these projects. My wife hates these projects, until she sees what they can do. I'm going all out. I sold two machines Beast Sapp and my Thunderbirds with topper to get the money. I have $750 to spend, $250 has already gone to barstools.
