I was offered a working machine for the same price, but was unable to bring myself to destroy a defenceless Pachi. Machines have feelings too!

Same here last 2 vintage pachinko's I bought were parts machines, I had to save them! I am now looking for just parts, as I will restore any thing that might work.

I believe it is an offer he threw out he is not actively selling his scrap pile, in response to Devons request for a parts machine. just my take on it. When I talked last to Dave, it seemed the parts are not a profit point with him and it was a friendly gesture of an offer. Dave is a great guy and puts in many hours, the sale of machines is a sideline for him.

Oh I fully understand and agree, I was just pointing out Dave was replying to a parts request. If it worked out they should then post a BIN in the auction. This is a great way to help out the board that got them together. Everyone should at least try to help out pachitalk. just like you and Logicprobe did.
