Im so sorry about SimSim just imagine him playing on a star but you dont know which one, so that every evening when you look into the sky he could be on any of them. That way he is on all of them and will always be with you.

I have been reading this thread since it was posted, and have been at a loss for words. My dogs have always been a major part of our family. In fact, as I type this, my dog "Kasumi" is practically laying on top on my keyboard causing me to retype several words. But it something I don't mind, because of all the joy that she brings into our lives. We have lost pets in the past, and it has has always been painful. Like others before, we share in your loss and know that we are better people because of our dogs.

What a wonderful breed... the Golden.
SimSim was a very handsome fellow.
I couldn't imagine losing Gordie right now.
His personality and character are unlike any other dog I've ever had.
My heart goes out for you and your family.

I had a tough time sleeping last night, and found myself at the computer (where else???)

After some quiet thought, reflection, and looking at your photos...
I came up with a tribute, in honor of SimSim, and for all who have lost a Golden.

Wow, that is beautiful LP. My 12 and 14 year old daughters are standing beside me in awe of your beautiful tribute. Needless to say, with 3 girls in this house, we have been swimming in our tears but have been so touched by the kindness extended to us in this thread. Thank you all.

Just in case any of you missed it, in Logicprobe's tribute, SimSim's face is in the sun...ever so faint. I missed it at first, but my daughter Sara picked it out right away. I will always remember that on bright sunny days
