    Question "Fire Drift" volume problem.

    Hi everyone!

I am aware that this particular machine is loud to start with, I would like to know what is the quietest setting. The volume control switch, however, is a three- way switch inside the door, could anyone out there who is accustomed to this particular model which is namely a "sammy" machine, let me know in which position the switch needs to be in for this setting, i.e. top, middle or bottom

The best thing is to add your own volume controls. There are a number of threads here that explain the 'how to' better than I ever can.

In the meantime, I can only suggest you get some of the music/sound going and just flip the switches back and forth until you can find the quietest position.
Check my member page here or...

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

The 3 position switch doesn't do much. All 3 positions are very loud and you might not even notice any difference from setting to setting. Tonys right get volume controls I use syscom (pachislo.com) cheap and easy but there are a zillion threads that will go over the how to's of volume control. good luck.

of the 3 positions 1 looks like a guy doing jumping jacks, with his arms up is loudest the image with his arms down is less loud.
open the door on your machine, cause a coin jam, and adjust switch. the door reset key will clear coin jam.
your best bet is to search as volume controls have been discussed often and thourghly.

    better BB?

I like this description I'm assuming it's of the japanese characters by the volume switch. These are pretty much the first kanji characters learned after the characters for numbers (so are some of the very few that I can recognise!)

大 dai = Large (ie Loud)
    中 chu = Middle
    小 sho = Small

I've got a very long way to go, I've just started learning and can barely speak more than a few words. I can just about read text in the katakana and hiragana phonetic alphabets and a about a dozen kanji words so far (only got around a thousand more to learn just to get to primary school level )

My main thing at the moment has been working out how to input Japanese text into the computer, and to let google translator do the more complicated part. It's a slow process, at the moment I can type Japanese at an equivalent speed to typing English using only my big toe of my left foot, whilst wearing a blindfold

It does help to understand a little of the japanese sentence structure and grammar though, as google seems to randomise the translation a bit if the original sentence is not perfectly formed.

What we need is an OCR (Optical Charactor Recognition) program that understands Japanese.

Seriously I need someone at my house for a week to go through the Yajikita with me, it would be fun! I really like the machine and understand the theme so it ties together well, but I wonder about the dough eating section, he grabs for some leaves before he hurls, the don't look like ginger.??
I have an old sword (katana) with an inscription of 4 charachters on the wooden liner. I am dying to know what it says.

That's going to need someone more experienced than me, I don't even recognise the basic structure of those characters (or even which way round they are meant to be!).

This type of stuff is like asking a 5 year old who's just learned their A-B-Cs to read a sentence in beautifully crafted hand-written calligraphy. I can just about make out characters printed using font's that are about equivalent to block capitals in western languages, show me some handwriting and it might as well be in a foreign language... oh hang on a moment...

I picked it up cheap a few years ago, it looks old, the blade is roughly hand filed. it is similar to a Japanese WW II soldiers sword.

    maybe a older movie prop?????

I do have 2 prop swords in scabbards from Xena auctions, one foam and one resin hand painted.

Thanks Daverob for the usefull information about the volume switch. On one of my pachinko, there is an other symbol, I filnally found the meaning using a translation tool, so I add it to the list:

大 dai = Large (ie Loud)
    中 chu = Middle
    小 sho = Small
    切 = off/mute
