    Default Importance of wood case

I havent yet bought my first Pachinko but soon will(gotten close),
I just talked to a ebayr selling a couple pachinko's he just bought Rescue Dogs and Wing Pilot and didnt like the noise(thats ok by me) and that without a wooden case or wall mount the balls come out the back?

So are the sleek wooden cases a must to have a pachinko? I know its looks better without the back exposed but didnt know they keep balls from spilling everywhere.
    thanks ahead.

Yea they spill into the back, but you use a tray to catch them. I've gone the simple route, screw in some blocks under the legs to keep it up a few inches and use a paint roller tray (I spent a couple dollars more for the plastic ones so it could cushion the noise a little more.) under it so you dont have to reach behind for the tray, and it doesnt require having lots of balls.

they have drawers in the bottom to catch fired balls and bring them to the front.

without them you need a tray in back to catch them, and then you have to reach around to get them,

check out slot happys post about using a paint roller tray to do the same thing.

!!!!!!PAINT ROLLER TRAY!!!!!!! Why didnt this dawn on me its brilliant in its simplicity and yet way beyond my capacity to think simply, Iv been planning on building 4 full sized cases for my pachi`s, costing stacks of cash and time , then comes along a genius and now all I have to do is use 8 wood blocks and 4 plastic trays which cost about £2.99 each, thank you Droog, I want to have your babies

    Well grommit, nice try.

You might still have a chance to find a taker with slothappy, though.
And luckydog was in the think tank, too.

Ok I took Luckdogs sugestion after we were discussing Arby's mod, so it is the community to thank, I give LD a special thumbs up for throwing this idea into the mix.
In order for this to work nice you will need plenty of room behind your pachinko, to keep the tray from sticking out too far. This is not a problem usually
I will pass on the kids also, check with LD.

Yep, Arby started the idea with a non angled tray and a feed funnel.
His post on it, is in this thread, starting with post #9.

I saw Arby's post with the funnel and tray, it was similar to what I had been thinking of.

Then, I made my usual daily stop at Goodwill and as soon as I saw a paint roller tray for sale, the idea came to mind

They make paint trays in smaller sizes too if you find the larger trays cumbersome. I imagine the smaller trays would also work.

There is a thought, the smaller tray would be fine or better even.
I picked up a black plastic tray from a dollar store,.
I painted it tangerine but did not really like it. I picked up a metal one @ Lowes 1.90 or so and painted it, it came out better.
don't forget the mouse pad or drawer liner, it makes the balls dropping very quiet. it only needs to be glued or set in the small area where the ball fall . I have a chute that directs the balls into a small area.
