Question Is it possible to reduce fever payouts?

    Hi everyone,

This may sound a silly question, but is it possible to reduce the number of balls won in fever rounds? Ive got 2 pachinko's - Star Wars and Flunky Dog, and I really enjoy playing them.

However, sometimes when you win a fever round, the machines (especially Star Wars) just keeps paying and paying. Obviously if this was in a parlour, I would love to win as much as possible, but in my Games Room it would be nicer to maybe win fevers more often, but less balls.

Does anyone know whether there is any adjustment or modification which would do this?

Apologies if this is a stupid question, its just that probably 10 minute fever rounds would be plenty for me - 30 minutes+ can be a bit exhausting ;o)

    Thanks in anticipation,

    Best wishes,

    Mark ;O)

those Fever Rounds are all part of the excitement!!!

You really are losing the Passion!!!

but if you really can't take the pace - then you're going to have to go Cyclic or Semi-cyclic as Luckydog suggests.............

I'm new to the dark side (pachinko) but on my BTTF I can play without the hopper plugged in or I can just leave the hopper empty and play. When I'm all done , I run the balls through the hopper till it catches up again.

Fever payouts are set by the factory and are non adjustable.

For example, Star Wars is available in three 'specs' ZF,ST and RN1. The ZF one is the most commonly imported one, and has the highest fever payout, and the most chance for fevers to be hit all in a row. ST spec also has the high payout, but fevers should be spread more evenly. RN1 only pays out a third of the balls the other two do during fever, and so should be the most even.

Unfortunately you're pretty much stuck with what you've got, you could swap cells if you could find one of the other spec cells (or just change the main control PCB assembly with one of the lower spec ones), but you're unlikely to find one for sale.

The only other way of doing it is to reverse engineer the main control CPU, and change the odds. There are companies in Korea that claim to be able to do this, but it's not likely to be cheap.

Different types of machines even same machine have differemnt specs. Like A B and C pachislo'sif yoyr familiar. From many small payouts (what you want) to les frequent but large payouts. 3 levels if I remember correctly.
It depends on what computer (ROM) your machine has.
I have not researched the rom flash upgrades. I have seem ROM flash hacks for almost everything else. phones, pc. games, modems...

Hi Everyone, many thanks for the comments and advice.

I dont really want to adjust the pins as I dont really want less fevers, just less balls per fever. If it is not an easy adjustment, I will probably leave it how it is - I enjoy it anyway.

Further down the line, I might investigate cyclic operation, but at the moment I will keep it as it is.

    Thanks again,

    Cheers,
