Help, Hound Dog won't play

Don't know what happened but I get home tonight and see that the Hound Dog door is ajar, I keep the keys with me but the door does not close easy, anyway I think nothing of it turn it on and it won't play, I put 50 tokens in and see my credits but the max bet button won't light and when I tap the reel spin button nothing happens.
I have tried a reset, and I have tried changing the odds and a reset again. I can not cash out the tokens or do anything.. Can anyone help me? Please!

First thing I would do is check the connections to the button itself. If the door was ajar, someone may have been inside it playing with things.

Can you give any more info? Have you had the machine long? Did you check all of the wire connections to the Max Bet Button and Spin Arm? Maybe they came loose or got cut with the improperly aligned door?
Maybe the Max bet button needs to be taken apart and cleaned.
Just quick guesses with what you gave to work with.

Well I just got the Machine Friday and I keep the power off when not playing we have only played a few hours max I would say, I will check the connections and post back. Thanks

Okay, figured it out, while checking the connections I tapped the 1- Bet, 2- Bet buttons and the 1-Bet button was slightly depressed, it made a sound so I tapped the max bet and it worked..
But if I touch it it sticks the machine again, dunno why! Just glad it is okay, I was so worried, I enjoy these so much...

Also, check to see if a reel-stop button is stuck in.
I just checked out my HoundDog, and that will cause the problem, too.
Won't spin, and Max Bet doesn't light up.

sounds like that button needs cleaned.
Just hit max bet and don't hit the 1 bet one and you should be ok.

You could spray some contact cleaner around the bet buttons to clean them.

Ya Dawn. we all know he needs the machine!
if the switch is NO then just unplug it. if it is NC put in a jumper. A quick continuity test would tell.
Ok removing, cleaning, lubing and replacment is how I would go but I like to tinker around. It keeps me out of the crazy stuff on the internet.
like frog salads, exploding brits, mentos rockets, you know that nutty sttuff.

Thanks, I will try that. Just curious on the bet buttons, the 1- Bet button does not sit as high up as the 2-Bet button, is this normal? It does not take much at all, just a simple brush over the buttons will depress and stick the button easily.
