Default Are all Pachinkos created equal?

There's my question. Reason, DH builds things in his wood shop all the time, have yet to grab my first pachinko but DH was interested in making some stands for when we do.
Are they all the same size or do we have to wait until we get one and custom build to fit?
Thanks for your info in this matter....

usually the cabinet is slightly oversize and you shim the pachinko to get it level.

If you make a tight fit, it may not fit

They appear to be the same size, but as with anything you make, it always pays to measure and remeasure to ensure a perfect fit!

Good Luck with your Cabinetry and remember to post Pics!

"All Pachinkos are created equal, but some are more equal than others."
Oh man, I spent too much time with George Orwell as a kid.

THink about this, The parlors in Japan don't replace all thier cabinets when they get new machines, they just replace the machines.....

actually it's a slightly altered quote from George Orwell's book Animal Farm.

Thanks all and with that being said, and without getting political it sounds as if it may be in my best interest to wait and see what I get first, I think...

I am amazed at how similar the frames are between the vintage and the modern, I have not measured them but they look like they are the same size, I will run a tape across a few to see.
There might be a diffrance between different manufactures frames. But if you add 1/4" of clearance around the perimiter you should be able to place any machine in the cabinet.

There was less then an 1/8 in differenct on the width between my vintage and moder machines. The Height was a dead on match. If he only leave an 1/8 all the way around then it will give him a quarter inch of wiggle room.

Since we are on the subject of cabinets I have a quick question. On modern machines there are a lot of computer boards. Mine also has a fan built in to keep part of the machine cool. My question is if I’m building a cabinet that will be mounted to the wall does it need ventilation holes? If it does need holes for ventilation approximately how large and placed where? Would it be better or help if I put in exaust fans? I’ve seen cabinets here on the forum both with and without holes on the sides and kind of got confused weather I need them or not.

The official Sankyo frame dimensions (from the lumina frame manual) are 808mm x 520mm (HxW) thay don't quote a depth. For those of you in lands where metric tape measures are a rarity that's 31 13/16" x 20 1/2".

the air in parlors is drawn into the tunnels behind the pachinkos. Their exaust system to cool is to draw thru

The holes you see on the side of the cabinets are for those owners who do not have keys. Gives you a way to open the case.
None of mine are in cabinets, so I can't help you much more than above.

I made the mistake of assuming that all my pachinkos were 20 1/2" wide, so I went ahead and cut all my wood to that mesurment.......It turns out 2 of them were 1/4" wider.

    Measure twice, cut once!

It's ok, the wood didn't go to waste, I just bought more pachinkos.

    Absolutly provide adequate ventelation!
I have no specs on required ventalation but the more the better. I try to hide the holes if possible. Air will rise so holes in top and bottom will flow air better.
