Default Lord of the rings case

    Hi,

I've finally bought my first pachinko - It should be here by Wednesday.
It's a Lord of the Rings one, and I'm looking at building a case.

Does anyone know of a really easy guide how to built a case, please post it below. I'm quite young, so it needs to be idiot proof lol. I can also then buy the timber this weekend.

    Thank you!

    Alex

You could just put feet on it to get started. Take your time and make a nice one!
You can add a tray with a sloped bottom later to return your balls to the front.

Go to B&Q and pick what type of wood you want. If you want Cheep go for MDF about 3/4 inch thick and its dead simple. You need strips about 8inche deep. Measure the height of your machine and add enough space for ball collection underneath. Get the wood cutter to machine cut your wood at whatever the hieght is ie 36 inches by 8inches. That makes two sides. the base piece needs to be the width of the machine and by about 18inches so that when you swing open the door the machine has a stable base and wont lurch forward. the top needs to be the width of the machine by eight inches. The good thing is that pakinchos are wooden framed so what you do is screw the top piece on flush with the sides and front ie overhanging at the back. Then screw on the side panels which should be flust with the top and front edges. Your cabinet should be pretty much taking shape now. Turn the machine upside down and take your base piece screwing it fush with what is the rear of the machine so that it sticks out at the front providing stability. If you have bought MDF at about 3/4 inches thick you can easily pre drill holes and then whck in 1 and a half inch chipbord screws whin screwing MDF to Mdf and 1 inch chipboard screws when going from MDF to pachinko frame. When the sides are all attached you can measure the back and get some hardboard or MDF cut exactly then panel; pin it on. I have made MDF drwers to go underneath mine to collect the balls but you can use the plastic trays that some suppliers send with the machines as long as you allow enough clearance when getting the sides cut. Once you have built one measure each panel and make a template so that the next time you make one you can give the woodcutter the exact dimensions. I built one inc all screws for £15 from B&Q. If I was at home I could give you exact measurements for mine but I`m at work now. If you get stuck mail me and I will photo mine for you to het a clearer idea.
