Default KING CAMEL - What type of Coin-In Mech?

Hi guys, got my new King Camel yesterday and we also picked up Popeye. They are both Sammy Machines and appear to have the same coin mech. What type of Coin-In Mechs are these known as??? Ive been reading about different types of coin mechs but not sure what these are. This is purely so i know how to clean, take apart, service whatever and look for a guide on how to do this. They look a lot different and far more robust than my Sinbad Adventure.
    Cheers all. Malc

I just cleaned the coin mech on JSR similar I think to KC, will check.
super easy, was thinking of writing it up no tools needed.
    turn off machine.
squeeze the plastic cover rotate down and pull out.
grab metal mech on left side, rotate out.
spring loaded clean track, back. note electromagnet might be hot!
let go srpring returns mech. snap cover back in reverse order.

if you need to pull out whole mech diconnect wires
    remove cover.
white plastic tab full length of mech pull to left rotate mech to right , 2 pins on right unsnap. mine had an extra zip tie strap.
    Cheers,

What is the purpose of the electromagnet and what do you mean by 'Zip Tie' as I dont know what this means in the UK? thanks for this, good stuff.

magnet opens and closes the coin reject. keeps machine from accepting coins when off or in error. zip tie:http://www.9thtee.com/zipties.htm

When I got my KC from Steve it often had tokens sticking in the coin mechanism and needed a second token in the slot to push the stuck token through. It always seemed to be the all silver tokens that stuck while the dual metal ones never gave a problem.

Anyway, ten minutes with cotton buds (or should I say Q-Tips as they actually came from NYC) and cleaning solution solved the problem once and for all. Since then I haven't needed to touch it - it works every time. These machines are a heavy duty bit of kit and are now in a gentle retirement - low usage and no nicotine!

Well us brits can come unstuck with certain words meaning different things. Durex over here is a condom, i think in Australia its selotape (sticky tape), two completely different things. OK, i guess you could use selotape in place of the condom but you would probably be seen as a bit cheap! : ) Cheers for the US translations
Ive picked up ZIP TIES, and Q TIPS...... perhaps we need to have a pachi online phrase book
