    Default Picture frame light

I had most of Saturday off, a client cancelled and we finished up the trampoline pit project early so I had time to shop and play with my pachi 's.
I picked up a silver metal picture frame light at Lowes ($25) and mounted it on the Nishijin, this made a big differance as the Nihijin ended up in the dark corner. Only issues is it gets warn and I have touched my forehead to it reaching around the doggy pachinko next to it. Oh and the mount is in the top tray feed slot so it makes the top hole a bit more restricted, still useable though. I have moved down some of the other machines and it now sits on an angle in the corner, easy to play 3 machines at once now. (hit 777 on the automatic this AM)

Thank you! it is the wider version, 16" to fit the machine.
Oh, the pictures are with and without flash on. the light gives a nice warm inviting glow. I put a cheaper light on the Daiichi, and did a semi cyclic mod to it, and also tried new feet. The Daiichi almost fell over cause the bottom board is water damaged. and a foot fell off. I experimented and made wood feet much like the wire feet I have seem. pictures on another post soon.
We are playing the heck out of the older ones again! nicer to play. thaese are very addicting, they both have many regular payouts, never run out of balls in shooter trays! actually need to release into lower tray quite often, then put back in top hopper when the ball light comes on.

    Hi Mike-
I like the photo. The vintage machine looks nice with the light above it.

I like the picture light i thought this mod would look good similar to the old billboard lighting did or movie poster lighting .... it should also give a nice accent on the balls passing through the machine also ....

Good mod and the incandescent light is the right one for the vintage. Good choice.

Thanks TJ! The store had many brass lights, this is the only silver finish one they had.
Forgot to note the mount that it came with it would not work, it would have put the back too far into the top tray. I took the wiring cover off, driled 2 holes and screwed the wiring cover back onto the machine then mounted the light onto the cover.

Great idea! I may try to work something like that into my next cabinet project.

I was thinking it would be nice on a modern also if your game room is dark.

My game room is not well lit, and neither is the cell on the machine that will be going into this cabinet. The more I think about it the more I'm sure it's going to need some kind of additional lighting. I hope I can find the same fixture that you used, I think it would look really good with this upcoming project.

this is what I used.: note I removed the square wire cover, drilled 2 holes and mounted the wire cover and tossed the provided cruddy mount.

Thanks! There's a Lowes not far from where I work. I need to remember to run by at lunch one day in the next week or so.

I started adding Lights to more modern newer but not really current pachinkos as well. One I fit a strip light in between the 2 glass plates, another I shortened a rope light and feed into the cell face above the metal ball plate. not as much light at I wanted but getting better.
