My torment is over. FedEx delivered my machine yesterday. I was a little nervous about the condition of the machine because a few of the corners of the box were mashed up. I quickly grabbed the digital camera and started snapping photos. It's was like opening a big box on X-mass except I was careful to open slowly. I was much relived to find that my machine was not damaged.:sigh1: TA did a great job packing the machine up. I would have posted the news sooner but I was too busy playing.

I think this is a great transition machine from having only used vintage machines. It doesn’t have the spinning/slot stuff to get to a fever. Sorry to any who was offended by that last comment but if I wanted spinning reels I would have bought a pachislo or slot machine.

Now all I have to do is build a cabinet (were sitting on the floor to play right now) and install some volume controls. God this thing is loud! It’s set to the lowest setting and I can here it being played from outside. I’ll order the 5 for 15 tomorrow. I should have done it when I ordered the machine.

I have a few questions about some of the computer boards that are in the back but those are for another thread at some other time.

Yes it is an excellent transition machine. It is an Aqua Paradise made by Sankyo. It least I think its made by them.

When you get a ball into one of the three buckets near the bottom then the dolphins on both sides of the LCD screen flip open. If you are lucky/skilled you will get a ball or two into the area. Over the LCD panel is a disk that has magnets. The balls will attach to the magnets and travel in a circle. There is an arm at the top of the LCD that will lower to grab a ball. If the arm gets a ball then the machine will go into fever mode. The length of the fever will depend upon the number that comes up on the fish at the start. To keep the fever going you need to get balls into the center via the dolphins opening and closing. After 20 seconds or so the arm will lower. If it gets a ball then you advance to the next round. The most is 15 rounds.

As for what my next machine will be. I would like either an Aqua Nine or maybe a Julie. That wont be for quite some time though. Two vintage and one modern machine all since August has pushed my luck with the misses. I figure, after I get them in nice cabinets she will play more and get addicted. With any luck I’ll be able to get her one for X-mass. It’s all in the timing.
