Just think how many of us those poor, aborted babies could have made happy by just selling them to us.

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

Just been trying to figure out how we could save them all...

There are around 3 million Pachinkos in Japan, and they are compulsory retired after three years. Even if we ignore the ones that are retired early and hope that the Japanese market will take them, that's a million a year.

There are approx 2300 members of pachitalk, so we'd need to be saving 400 odd per year. That's a 40' container full, for every single one of us here, every year.

So what am I going to do with my 400, I expect I have a few friends who'd be willing to adopt a machine for me, but after the first dozen or so, they're either going to be a member here (so will be waiting for their allocated 40' container) or unlikely to consider me a friend any more .

If I wall mounted them floor to ceiling on every bit of wall space in my house then I figure I'd manage about 250; If I covered the windows (I guess I wouldn't need daylight any more with this many pachi's) that's another 30, and I could use them as doors for the kitchen units (15) so I think that should just about cover my first years quota.

The next year I'm going to have to get really creative, or I'll have to build an extension to my home. Do you think the building inspector will accept pachis as being 'load bearing' and if I used enough silicone caulk would I be able to make a weatherproof exterior wall out of them.

Year three, and I think I will have to become an installation artist, a 20' square cube of pachis, all converted to cyclic with their shooter controls jammed on. I figure that's got to be worth a Turner prize. I'll name it 'Fever'.

Anyone got any suggestions for years four and five, as this is where I run out of Ideas.

Well, we're so rich here in America (in the eyes of the rest of the world anyway) we could just pave the streets with them or better yet, we could just clean them up, put new stickers on them and sell them back to the Japanese in a few years.

I was thinking Pachinkos across America...

Lay them end to end and stretch the length of the land. A public awareness and adoption program.

I thought maybe since they are building houses from old shipping containers. Why not build some from old pachinkos?

Yeah, that was what I just saying here: http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/show...3&postcount=25

Once they get old at game centers they just throw them away.

Because of all the effort it takes they'll be more than happy to just give you one if you are at the right place at the right time. The reason I don't have any is because I have no place to keep them.

If there's some good stuff to grab, do it and put it on our auction site.

wall made of pahinkos, that would be rad. every room every where, never a dull moment. I would not make floors from them out of respect. it could be hourly posts to the sock thread though.
