HI, im new to this site, The imformation HERE is great!. My question is...
I aquired METAL SLUG from pachinko pallace, also hanabi hyakki,
Hanabi arrived in great condition, The METAL SLUG was damaged
the main board was loose and another was cracked causing the
stop buttons to malfunction, I soldered the board where it was cracked
and all apears well, except I have to drop 3 tokens to start the wheels,
Is this normal? Im new to all this...Any help would be great.

most of the new machines are max bet 3 coin only machines. The elco's for sure, except in JAC games, where 1 is the bet.
I hope your lcd's behind the reels are OK these are an issue with these machines, but a fix is on this board if you need it! better make more room ,because eleco's multiply!
Its a nice job you did with the jumpers, I did that to a boom box I dropped onto cement, cracked the main board in half.
do you have an auqarium and a built in terrarium in your wall? nice.

I am wondering if their is anway to change the setting in the computer board to make the machine want to accept more than just 50 tokens that way you can really load it up and max bet the death out of it without reloading as frequently. Let me know if anyone has done this and has succeded.

Have you ever looked at the auto credit threads? That may be similar to what you are looking for.

what is the advantages or disadvantages to only a max bet machine?

I don't really see any advantage or disadvantage. It is just the way the machine operates. The 1,2,3 bet machines are usually older. The newer Max Bet machines must be played 3 tokens at a time.

In theory the more you bet the more you get, aside from that on the advantage scale some machines make cool sounds for each coin inserted, kinda adds to the excitement, for me I like adding 3 coins to both Neo Planet and Penguin Paradise just for the sound effect, and if i have credits I will even hit the single bet button three times for the sound effect. I am not so sure what a disadvantage of being an all 3 coin play machine would be I suppose if you hate throwin three coins in it every spin that would be one dislike?
