Default What size wood feet would you cut?

3 of my 7 came with feet.
I have them all on carpet
Maybe this is a stupid question:
What size would you recommend the wood be cut?
2 of them are longer then 1, and that 1 i have stuff under to prop it up or it tilts backwards enough to effect the play. The ones without feet are being proped up from everything like old cablemodems to cd holders against the wall and the machine.
I havent pulled out my level yet, but is there a size someone can recommend?

All my machines have 12" 1X4 feet except for the DekaInca which has a metal frame and those feet are a little larger.
The machines are mounted in the center of the feet, and about 1-2" in from the outside edge of the machine.

This is my personal opinion, or of the voices in my head, and are not meant to reflect the opinion of this board.

Something to consider: If pushing feet up against the wall on a carpet plus pad floor the tack strip along the wall will tip the cabinet forward. The tack srtip is about 1/4 thick plus the nails give it 3/8 ov a bump.
so put 1/4 to 3/8 block under the front feet shim it until it is plumb. if making a cabinet I cut a notch 2' x 3/8 in the back. 3/8 high x 2' wide that is.

I'm thinking of going to larger feet on mine, 1" by 4" by 12" seems to be the way to go. Like the way Arby does it

Also use a level and check from side to side and front to back.

    sorry, explain 1x4x12.
    I inch thick wood.
    4 pieces
    12 inches each?

As for level, I know that well, I install pool tables.
What would be the easiest way to go about mounting the legs, i dont want to turn it upside down, and I want the legs even.
    Thanks

    Droog,
    FYI a 1x6 (one by six) actually measures 3/4" x 5 1/4" (.75x 6.25 inches)

I just bought a Woody Woodpecker from Chris at DGI.
He put it in a real nice colored cabinet for me (for a price ) .
It looks good and really shows the game off.

If i get any more games I would do this insted of getting feet.

If you don't want to turn your pachi upside down you can always make feet for the sides....before I made cabinets for all my pachis I tried this and it seemed sturdier than my machines with feet on the bottom....

Just use 2 pieces of 1x6 (3/4" x 5 1/2") cut to about 12" I guess, and screw them to the side.

Hopefully this pic I just made will make it clear what I am saying.

And here is a chart to help make more sense of nominal wood mesurments...metric too for our non US friends!

bottom feet can rock a if the case is loose at all, I used an arby trick and replaced the nails with screws. still have to shim the back if you want it plumb (the term for level only vertical)

Thanks Mr G, i've decided to go that route instead, i should be able to stick stuff under it if its not level, level it, then screw in the feet, should work.
