    Default Noise Reduction

I'm looking for something to lesson the noise of the balls hitting the bottom of the cabinet or tray. I was thinking of some type of thin rubber padding, possibly something in sheets with a sticky bottom to help in attaching it.

Does anyone know of something like this or have any other ideas? I've searched the hardware warehouses and haven't been able to find anything that I think will work yet.

    Thanks,
    Steve

I've used cabinet liner from Target. It's thin, cushioned and cheap. It's not self sticking, but I just glued it down. Works great for me. Whatever you choose, just make sure that over time it doesn't deteriorate and leave loose particles that can cling to the spheres.

I also used cut up mouse pads. It made a WORLD of difference in the noise. I'll try to remember to take some pics tonight.

I found this perfect 1/8" sheet of rubber that's used as gasket material at a local hardware store. It's about 10" wide x whatever length you need. Pretty much the same thing the parlors use in the ball system.

Ball trays use a 1/2" close cel foam.

I've put the rubberized grippy shelf liner in all my machines. Easy to put in cut and put in place and it works great.

good one you beat me to it,
check out this way to quiet the din, nice thick neoprene and it is FREE too! well if you can get old mouse pads, most times anyone can stock up at trade shows healthcare to PC vendors give them away in their booths.
