Default Just bought my first Pachislo - Olympia Las Vegas

    Hi there

Just bought my first Pachislo from ebay, an Olympia Las Vegas.

It is my mums 50th birthday soon and we are having a casino night with roulette, blackjack, poker, craps and stumbled across these yesterday, 24 hours ago I had never even heard of them and now I have already bought one as I thought it would be a great thing to put next to the bar. Got 1000 tokens coming with it, May buy a second machine if I like this along with a load more tokens.

Anybody recommend any more machines on the casino theme? I have seen a couple of different blackjack ones.

Anything else I need to know other than "what have you let yourself into!!!!"

    Cheers

    Chris

Super Black Jack or Rio are good choices.

    Welcome!
You should probably check around the different threads. There are a number of them where members have talked about pros/cons of a lot of different machines. Also, a great place to check out machines for their appearance is the museum - many of the machines have reviews written by the members.
From what I have figured out - there are as many different machines as there are people's interests - and more coming every day.

Just stay faaaaaar away from those shiny little balls - they have a magical power that can drain any sane person's bank account lickity split!

Oh yes, and congrats on the new purchase - and here's to many more!

I agree. Stay at least 50 feet away from silver balls, otherwise you are doomed. Abandon all hope, all those that enter the pachinko start gate.

I had looked at a pachinko as the seller I got my las vegas from also sells them and I am sure my other half would love it, just don't have the space! Well, maybe just for one

    Welcome to PachiTalk, Thud!

As alreday mentioned any of the Super Blackjack machines (by Net) would be a great addition.

I, and others, have posted some videos of it in action in the museum. Be sure to register there using your same username and password.

Great choice on a first (of many) machine.
Check my member page here or...

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

My next house is going to have a bigger basement. I ran out of room after 10 pachislos, 3 pachinkos, and 1 Mame cabinet. I still have two pachinkos in boxes and I need more pachinkos...Garfield, Indiana Jones, Thunderzone, somebody stop me!!!!!

well its here and its excellent

been playing on it most of the day as I have been off. Everyone who has seen it thinks it is excellent and the other half didn't moan like I thought she might

Reels seem noisy but I have no idea if that is normal or not as I have never seen or heard another one. Also a few bulbs are out and can't seem to find any over here, all seem to be 12v ones, RS sell them, but it is £5 delivery for a 39pence bulb!

In the bottom of the machine to the right of the hopper there are two metal prongs sticking out of the back wall each with a cable coming from the power supply, what is this for?

    Cheers

    Chris

there is suposed to be an over flow hopper ( bucket) there the two metal probes tell the parlor people it is time to empty the bucket, it does nothing in home use.
also most have a hole there and the overflow goes into the cabinet hopper at the parlors, for us the hole is a great way to open the machine if someone locks the keys in it.

My first machine was also an Olympia Las Vegas! I had several more over the years. LOST that Olympia LV machine in a natural disaster.... After an 8 year search I finally scored another in MINT condition... Very happy about it. Any idea what it's worth?
