Sept. GameRoom Magazine "Tribute" to Pachinko and Pachislo!

Hello everyone!

Most of you may remember that I mentioned that I was working on an article about Pachinko's in Japan for GameRoom magazine.....so if you haven't seen it yet it's now available for sale!

Kevin the owner of the magazine also reprinted my articles from RetroBlast.com about Pachislo's that many of you read last year on that website.

...sorry!...Kevin didn't want the magaine to be a tribute to "me" ......so he broke the article up.

I actually penned 2 long articles in that issue and one review of specialty stands.

The part 2 is mostly a "love letter" to Milt at Stealth.... ....and my mini interview with him.

Just got my copy of GameRoom Magazine Sept 2006!

WOW a lot more color in this than ever before! Plus now the new owners are printing on better high gloss paper. All in all a lot better quality magazine than what it used to be.

I haven't had a chance to read thru all of this but it looks great!

The Arcades of Japan article is 6 pages long with great looking color photos!

Pachinko : A Japanese Obsession Article is 3 pages also with good color pics!

Pachislo : Slots Machines Japanese Style Part 1 is 3 pages again with nice color pictures!

The Gameroom Of The Month article (4+ pages)features a terrific gameroom of a reader that has a nice selection of Pachinkos ( I love the way they are framed in the wall),a pachislo,slot machines,pool table etc. Great color pics thruout this article also.

This issue is a must have for the serious Pachislo/Pachinko collector as is the December 2002 back issue of GameRoom magazine that I have that features
a fantastic article(6 pages with B/W pics thruout) called = Behind The Scenes : GRAND VIEW PRODUCTS.

Just got my issue last night its a really nice rag. It has lots of cool info on Pinball machines and Arcade games as well as many ads for game expos.
I never saw the mag in any store and let me tell you NYC has magazine stores that you cant find anywhere and magazines from all over the world.
How do people ever see this thing? Is is strictly word of mouth? I hope the circulation is large enough to expand peoples horizons on Pachislo and Pachinko. I might get a subscription because it does have lots of interesting and fun stuff. Wish I had seen it earlier.
