Star Wars Pachinko - FEVER Mode Bonus Advance

For my first post, I would like to ask if this is normal operation on Star Wars:

During FEVER mode, I have read that you must get at least 2 balls (or more?) in the special gate (door) in order to advance to the next round. There are 15 rounds.

On my machine, I found if I leave it sit on its own without shooting any balls, it will simply advance through all rounds by itself. It sits in each round for an appropriate time to run through all the graphics and then moves on. I don't think I have stuck sensors, or else it would trigger reward balls to come out. I also got the 100 Bonus countdown at the end. Other times when I do get balls in the door on each round, I sometimes don't get the 100 Bonus, but rather a quick reel spin mode with easier bonus and jackpot odds. This may be a random thing.

Does this sound like a machine problem? Though I get no reward balls if I don't shoot any, shouldn't there be some kind of skill required to advance to the next round?
All else seems to work normally. I have it in semi-cyclic mode right now. Thanks for any help.

Hello,
on my star wars, if I go into the fever round and just let it sit, it also will go through the 15 rounds by itself. I've found that if I play through a round, I will get to the 15th level a lot faster. once done, my machine will sometimes do the 100 chance mode or another type of mode (purple space and a different type of music.) allowing me more fevers. 7 in a row once...WOW!

Yes, that purple space mode, or whatever it is got me to 5 fevers in a row and at that point I ran out of time and had to leave. That's when I noticed that it continued through all the bonuses without my intervention.
