    Default Las Vegas or SBJ

Hello all. I am new to the forum but I have owned several pachislo machines over the last few years. I have recently purchased a new house that has a game room and I need to find just one machine that has a casino theme. What do you guys think of the Olympia Las vegas and the super black jack? I like the LCD on the SBJ but I do not like the fact that you cannot play with a single coin. How interactive is the blackjack game? The roulette wheel on LV would look nice next to my real roulette table and it allows play with a single coin. All opinions are welcome on playablilty!

    Thanks
    Todd

I love my Super Black Jack. Vegas theme - and has the added benefit of English speaking!

Now - I do like the jukebox style of of the Olympia machine - you can try it out in the online games on this very site!

But in balance, with the cute graphics and great gameplay - and when this machine is hot it pays and pays - I would choose SBJ every time. Have to say that it is the most played machine by guests when they come to my house!!

But like all things pachi' - Beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

    Enjoy whatever you choose!

Las Vegas looks nice, but not much game play, SBJ has much more to offer

I have both machines. They both speak english. The roulette wheel on Las Vegas really spins. The Super Blackjack has roulette, darts, and blackjack on the LCD screen. I would get Las Vegas now because less of them are available than Super BJ, and get Super Blackjack later. If I had to pick just one, I think Super BJ has the edge.

Thank you for the input and the warm welcome. It looks like SBJ has the edge. Does anyone know the average sale price of a SBJ? The prices seem to be anywhere from $300-$600. That is a rather large difference IMHO, but maybe that is the nature of new machines.

    Thanks

300-600 is way too high. I paid under two for the ones I bought. where are you located? Maybe your close to a vendor and you could save shipping too.

    Welcome!
Shop around for a better deal, since you are looking for specific machines you will have to take what you can get. Call a vendor and see if you can get a break
on shipping or go for a local pickup.

I have both machines and to tell you the truth it is a toss-up.

The Las Vegas Roulette wheel actually has a bearing on the play, while the Super Blackjack has darts, blackjack, and Roulette, they too have an effect on play. Both machines speak English, but there is more on the SBJ.

    Shucks, get both!

I have to agree with Tony that it be nice to have both.

Las Vegas was my third pachislo (after Babel and Race Queen) and Las Vegas got a lot more play than any of those. Right now I am down to Sindbad Adventure and Spin Luck and my son has the Race Queen and Las Vegas that I had (BD presents). He tells me that Las Vegas consistently still draws friends to it more than Race Queen as far as play from his friends in Wisconsin. Unfortunately the virtual simulation of Las Vegas that is online doesn't come close to showing the true playability of it, But the Race Queen simulation is pretty accurate.

After watching Tony's fantastic videos of Super Black Jack = I can now say it might end up in my future collection also down the road. Thanks Tony for those videos!

So yep if it were me I would get the Las Vegas one first as it is more "rare" than SBJ and after that pop a snipe on Ebay for SBJ as you should be able to get it for a lot less than Las Vegas.

I have a Babel right now that i am thinking of selling. Unfortunately I just dont have room for all the toys I would like to have!I live in Wichita Kansas. Their is a dealer her locally but he is overpriced on everthing from slots to pinballs. (Game Room Warehoue)
Are there any other dealers in this in the Kansas/Oklahoma area?

    Thanks

I am a bad influence, I guess. I go hide in closet now.

My idea with the videos was to show what machines do in just norrmal play. If I hit a BB or RB during taping, well good, otherwise no big deal.

I still have many more machines to tape, when I have time, so watch out!
