Default What payout percentage / odds do you set your machines at?

    Hi all!

Im really getting into this Pachislo/Pachinko thing now, and have dedicated a spare wall in the games room to 3 machines. I understand the payout odds can be set to 1 (low) to 6 (high).

I was just wondering what people have their machines set at. As I dont want to be permenently topping up the hopper, Ive set my machines to 3 - does this sound about right?

I guess you would get more wins with the payout set to 6, but like I said, I guess this would mean topping up the hopper all the time (but I might be wrong).

Any commens/thoughts/recommendations would be much appreciated!

In case its relevant, the machines I have are Popeye, Sinbad Adventure and Super Blackjack (all seem excellent machines, bought from Steve at slotsdirect.tv in the UK).

    Thanks again,

    Mark ;o)

I would guess that most keep thier machines at 4 or 5. I like mine at the highest payout when I have friends over. Just seems to make the machines a little more fun for them.

when setting at 3 or 4 you get more screen action and smaller payouts. I set all mine at either one

if you check the museum pages most of the machines there will have the payout table. On the level setting of 3-4 will get you around 100% So after roughly 10,000 spins you will have pretty close to the same amount of tokens in the hopper as you started with. But on some machines like Harley Davidson it will gobble your tokens as fast as you put them in and when you least expect it you will get a total payout of 4,5,6000 like one of the member here had experienced, but over all on 3-4 you will see what that machine has in store for you as far as entertainment goes but yet still spit out close to what you have put in it....

On one of my machines which is an "A" type I put 1000 tokens in the hopper and set the level to 6. within about 90mins. of playing it was empty. So I put another 1,000 in the hopper set the level to 3 and after atleast a total of 30-40hours of playing I still yet have to fill the hopper and it is about 3/4 full.

So if you want max game play on the lcd screen and don't want to continuously fill the hopper, 3-4 level setting is the way to go....

I set mine at 3 or 4 as Lucky said, that seems to make them the most fun to play.

i got tired of winning so easily so have set my machines to level 1 so their more like Atlantic city's payout now . it was to easy to get big bonuses before on level 3 and 6 now i get a lot of little wins and appreciate the big bonuses alot more when they hit .....

For a long time I had my machines set on 6. Then I saw Luckydog's post about setting them on 3 or 4 for more action. I reset mine months ago to 3-4 and they are now even more enjoyable!

I think we set ours to 6 as soon as we get them - so we (including the children) get a chance to see some wins...

But if I ever get back to Pachislo - I will bear in mind that it might be worth switching it down to see more entertaining stuff....

    Thanks for the Info...

I started with 6 on all new machines, except Sinbad he had no keys, I have moved him to 6 once that I heard all reset keys are the same. Now playing on 4. will move to 6 and a reset for my end of season party so guests can get some wins without spending all night in front of a machine.
BTW all of you are invited bring your own hot tub/water skiing swimwear. bring a pachinko to pass.

    Hi All,

Once again, many thanks for the comments and advice! I think I'll set mine to 4 for general use (ie; me!) and crank it up to 6 and fill the hoppers when we have friends round for party nights or games nights!

Out of interest, what happens when the hopper runs empty? - it hasnt happened to me yet. Do you simply reach in and throw some more tokens in the hopper, or can you cancel/reset it?

    Cheers,

    Mark

when your hopper is empty, you will get a hopper error, some can be cleared by thowing some tokens in and do a soft reset. If you do a hard reset you should lose your bonus rounds.

well you should get an error but if your quick you can catch it while its spinning empty but it will time out with an error if you don't hurry . a simple reset usually on the door( key turned the opposite way as opening the door ) will reset the error as long as you have put in more tokens if not the error will come right back .

absolutely correct LD, My street cats is like that, there is no soft reset so if I get an empty hopper error, which never fails it is during a bonus when I do get one, it wipes it completely clean.

hopper error, HE on some displays
TIP: if need to scramble for tokens as soon as you realize your out, pull the plug, you might get enought time to add tokens and keep rolling.

my Death Valley is set at one and I hit bonus games like crazy and see things on my lcd that I never see on other levels. It's when I set it to higher levels 4,5 or 6 that the game goes flat with less bonus games and less lcd displays. So if I want more of a challange I set this machine higher
Not sure why this is because my other machines are just the opposite.

Want to caution you from previous expierence, when you get the empty hopper error and push the soft reset button after putting tokens in the hopper, have a cup handy cuz as soon as you reset it, tokens will come flying out at ya, and if your eye level of the hopper those tokens flying out will practically knock you senseless...
