Default How many tokens do you have per machine?

Hi, after visiting the UK Pinball Show last month, Ive picked up the Pachislo addiction - and have gone from no machines to 3 Pachislo's and 2 Pachinko's in 2 months ;O)

Ive got the machines set up in my games room, and have around 4000-5000 tokens between the 3 pachislo's. However, I would ideally like enough tokens to more than fill each hopper to the top so excess tokens fall into the little cash box so I can empty the cash box to get tokens to replay into the machine, instead of reaching into the hopper.

The Pachislo's I have are Super Black Jack, Popeye and Sinbad Adventure.

I was just wondering whether most collecters have enough tokens to fill every machine hopper to the top, or whether they just have a few hundred and keep reaching inside to get more tokens to reply.

Also, could anyone tell me what the biggest winning streak is likely to be on any of these machines - I mean, are you likely to encounter a run of wins which would need a totally full hopper to pay them all out?

I would also like to say since I have been interested in Pachislo's and Pachinko's, I have found everyone I have dealt with (mainly Steve at slotsdirect.tv and Nik from Just Pachkinko's an absolute pleasure to deal with - and I wish I found out about this hobby sooner ;o)

    Best wishes,

    Mark

My Magic Pulsar has gone into error when my hopper is full of tokens in a bonus round, I guess the weight of the tokens are causing a jam at the bottom, it had over a thousands in the hopper.

I usually keep under a thousand in the hopper. that gets you thru most bonus rounds easily.

I had bonus round after bonus round on my Gung Gung with a win of over 3,000 tokens. the huge led on the top lite up 1,000 then 2,000 then 3,000 as I kept playing

On my Rai Rai Goku I've hit over a dozen bonus rounds in a row with a few spins inbetween

Most hoppers will generally only hold about 1500. My spin luck I keep full and it holds 1200 tokens. On average I play with about 1000 per machine and it will get you through most bonus rounds without having to reach in. Your token tray outside the machine will only hold about 400 to 500.

First of all...... WELCOME TO PACHITALK!!!

Secondly, Like Tulsa said most hoppers will hold around 1500 tokens. Depending on what level you have them set on in my opinion is how many tokens you have. However, with me, I try to have anywhere between 1,000-1200 tokens for the machine and I have casino cups that I use and they hold around 5-600 each. so I usually have two of those on certain machines and that works just fine. granted on level 6 sooner or later you are gonna have to fill up your hopper, but you will be able to play for a good while on it unless you run into a killer bonus era. But if you have machine on level 1, I put in about 500 tokens and have about 1500 on hand to play with....

I just read what I wrote and what I have said probably isn't really what you are looking for... To sum it up. 1,000 for machine 1,000 to play with... 2000 for each machine.

The thing I do is try to get 2-5000 tokens at a time, the more you buy at once, it seems like the cheaper per token they are. that way if you get a new machine on impulse, you don't have to worry about "taking" tokens from another machine to play your new one that only came with 2-500 tokens. I believe thats what TJ does and he still has thousands of tokens he hasn't even used yet and he is getting dang close to 25machines.

i have about 1000 per machine and have a autostop board for one machine and a free play switch installed on the other so i dont really put tokens in to play anymore just have to open the door to put them back inside when the tray gets full (love the sound of tokens droping out but putting them in is a pain)

    WELCOME TO PATCHITALK!

I have 3 Pachislos and each came with around 500 tokens - which I don't think are really enough......

So I recently ordered a further 2,500 and I am hoping this will now be sufficient for the 3...

My two machines each came with 500 tokens and I bought 500 additional for each so I'd guess I'm typically running about 800-900 in the hoppers with the remainders in the cups. It's worked perfectly. When my SBJ hits the big bonus and pays until it says 'game over', I reset as required and replenish the hopper.

You can eliminate that reset being required.

    Hi All,

Many thanks for all the helpful replies..... I think I will try to average 2000 per machine - 1000 in a plastic cup near the machine, and another 1000 in the hopper.

    Once again, many thanks ;o)

Check with Autostop. He's listed under Vendors here.
Check my member page here or...

Temporarily, go to youtube.com and search for BudgeRahe for videos. Until I get the links set up in the museum

Gust, I noticed you post was a few months old, but I was wondering if you ever wired up that free play switch to your machine. I've done a lot of research on the subject and it's not as simple as wiring a button to two wires (unless the machine has just one coin sensor, which none of the newer pachislos do). they all have 2 or 3. In this case the auto stop / auto credit units that autoslot sells are the way to go.

There's a;lso a very interesting, low tech solution for free play posted here on the site. Do a search on "poor' man's auto credit". I'm going to do it to one of my machines this weekend.
