Here you go folks - a video of my 1987 Crackerpot fruit machine in action... The video is best played in VideoLAN's VLC Player, every other player I've tried seems to distort the sound a little.

I think it's because the file is larger than 50 meg.

I would very much like to see a write up on these as they generally aren't available here and look very interesting.

Don't waste your money. All the games on these discs are available free from http://www.fruit-emu.com by the people who create them. Those eBay sellers are just trying to profit from other peoples' work.

Oh, and they're actual hardware emulations, not sims!

Ya I purchased one of those on ebay. Good thing about the cd is that all the fruit machines are in 1 place instead of having to search around and download each of them from the site. So for me it was a good deal. Kinda funny after I bought it ebay send me a notice that this seller's item is invalid and not to pay the seller. But I had already paid for it. And I got it in the mail 1 week later from England. It is very handy and has TONS of the fruit machines on it. I play 3 or 4 every day.

i think those would sell here in the U.S. if someone could figure out a cheap way to ship them.maybe a dealer importing them by the container load.

Should have asked a few weeks before Christmas. When we closed down the arcade, we had enough fruit machines to fill a 40' container. Now they've been put in a slightly different kind of container...

BTW don't flame me too quickly, the machines in the pictures had already been stripped for parts before the arcade closed down. Pretty much all of the complete working machines were either sold off or given away. We still have some of the better titles (that no-one offered decent money for) in storage.

I also would like to own one! I imported a german slot from Germany, so I can see it would be easier to purchase one from England since they speak english. Have to think about that one for a bit.
