    Default Spiderman Neo versions

There are at least four different versions of the Spiderman Neo: F64R, F73R, N82R, and the N91R. Arby was selling the F73R which can be seen in the museum. I have a F64R which along with the other versions cab be seen at this link: http://translate.google.com/translat...language_tools

What is the difference between the versions besides the cell graphics?

I believe the payouts are different along with the payout odds.
Look at your link, it shows all the payouts and odds on the right side in that chart, compare and you will see the difference.

Half Spec and Full Spec (and other) Spec Pachinkos ?

    slotter
There has been some talk recently of different "spec levels" of Pachinkos which seemingly (to the average purchaser) are the same. Perhaps the different spec levels on the Pachinkos are indicated by different colored cases or maybe a differently painted game board.

What in essence would the difference(s) be in playing the various spec levels? Would the full spec have more playability than the half spec, for example? I'm guessing you would lose some playing abilities with the half spec.

This might be something we need to keep a closer watch on...

    rupan777

Full Spec - Usually lower odds of winning but higher chance of big bonus; usually includes chance stage.

Half Spec - Compared to full, higher odds of winning but lower chance of big bonus; usually includes chance stage. When a machine is first released, it is almost always a half spec machine.

"Cash" machine - Can only use cash (usually 500 or 100 yen coins), Highest odds of winning but usually does not possess a true "big bonus" system, only chance stage for set number of spins (for example, 100 spins for a big bonus number, 50 spins for normal bonus number).

The main difference among the various specs is the cel and the mathematics of the ROMs.

    slotter

If one had the opportunity to pick one or the other which would be the better choice? Or, is it purely a matter of personal taste?

    rupan777
No problem. I think it's a matter of taste but I would personally get a full spec machine to get the complete experience.

Hmmm this is interesting, I have another Spidey coming in next week. I kinda hope that it's not a F73R, if its one of the others then I can put them side by side and see a difference in play hopefully. But if it is the same cell I have I may have to part with it.

This is interesting. When members post to the forums asking recommendations for pachinkos, the recommendation is just the name of the machine, say Rocky or Star Wars, not Rocky full spec or Star Wars half spec, etc.

Another issue: shouldn't vendors indicate whether the machine is full spec, half spec, cash machine, since the payouts vary so much.

Last Issue: all of the Pachinko FAQs indicate that the only way you can change the odds is by bending or removing pins, however the another way would be to get a machine with different odds, sell a Spiderman Neo F73R and get a Neo F64R, for example.

A few of the sellers don't even know the correct name of the machines, and you expect them to know all the other info about them.

Now PachiTalk is where you get the correct information

SO. are the odds set per the spec level? Is there any (user) adjustment to the computer for the payout odds similar to a pachislo? I understand to use the nail bending to make it easier to win.

    Thank you Kugishi,
Where do I get replacement nails? I have 2 broken nails on a vintage machine, they have a short ardox section and smooth shank.

The last time I bought some real pachinko nails, they run $2.50 a piece, includes fees and postage. I would look around state side and see what you can find. let us know if you do find something

Wow, $2.50 per nail! I have some brass brads but wanted to stay authentic. I will check my fav hardware store, see if they have or can get the nails. I picked up the last box of brads 100 for $1.
    I will keep you posted.

maybe a solution if you found one cheap enough..

I am looking for a total junker, to experiment restoring the water stains without rebuilding the whole playfield. A few nails would be a bonus. off to check Ebay.

Wait, are you saying that you can't swap the rom chips, say half spec to full spec? Unless the chips would be destroyed when tampered with, such as the CPS2 issue with arcade cabinets, shouldn't you be able to swap the chips and therefore change the odds?

Yes if you have the right ones and know where they go corectly, but the cells sell complete with the different versions. Not reading Japanese makes it hard to say you can do the same things as on a american machine

Sometimes the entire rom boards in their cases come up for sale, but usually for more popular games. Haven't seen any spiderman.

    3 position switch is volume.
LED is the error code indicator.
