Default Sakura (Cherry Blossom) PAchinko Play Question

On the Sakura, it counts Wing Openings (sorry forget the exact term) with little flower buds (up to four) at the bottom left side of the LCD screen. Sometimes these buds are open, and sometimes open and Red. Does anyone know what this indicates? Thanks in advance.

Do you mean starts or those little flashes or tulip openings?
If starts, when the corresponding spin occurs, is there a reach? Also might indicate a reach is coming soon.

Yes, I'm sorry I meant to say the flowers count waiting starts.

I haven't figured out how the machine displays a wing opening count (but that was on my mind when I first wrote my question below). Occasionally the buds (waiting starts) will be open , and occasionally one is red instead of pink. The open buds do not seem to correspond to balls in the Go (Wing Opening) pocket, as far as I can tell.

As far as Reaches goes, the wings do open more often after certain kinds of bonuses (like my other machines), but indication of a Reach is a possibility...though I don't recall winning a bonus with an open flower. There are different video sequences that I thought were related to a reach (like when the anime singer does a prayer and the traditional arm sweep to try to help you win). I would swear I read somewhere a loose translation of a play guide for this (describing the action of the flower buds), but I can't seem to lay my hands on it (including the Japanese version) again.

remember on vintage machines when the tulips open it is easier to win or that you just hit a chance pocket. Is this similar, sorry don't have this machine, just vintage.

On Sakura, the number of Spin Pocket wins banked is shown by closed Cherry Blossoms on the LCD screen. Occasionally those Cherry Blossoms are open and even less occasionally one of them is Red. I am trying to find out the Play Guide meaning for those indicators. I don't think they are related to banked tulip openings, but since I don't know what, if anything on Sakura counts banked tulip openings, I stand to be corrected.

Lessee.... the buds represent banked starts, and I noticed that when they are red you are close to "fever", as I believe it's called. Maybe a device to get discouraged players to keep feeding balls?

I can see how that could happen because I've only made it to fever a few times on this machine. There's an LED and button in the back that I'll bet changes the odds or payout, but I haven't figured out the combo yet.

Saturday morning! Sunshine, chugging coffee and working on the pachi room. Doesn't get any better than this!

the led in the back is to show error codes, the button is to do a reset while turning the machine on.

It's getting where the first thing I do when I get home is pop a Guinness, play a round and check the forums. It's a compulsion with a built-in support group!
