Super Blackjack Volume Controls Help Needed Please

Hello to you all,
i have received my first machine today, its Super BlackJack. I asked the dealer to fit volums controls, i keep looking but i cant find them, can anyone tell me where to find the controls?? im not too sure what im looking for.

SBJ doesn't need a volume control.. You have one as default.. If you open it up and find the pair of buttons.. Hold the left one and then on the front, use the 2 buttons to increase/descrease the volume.

However, with SBJ at its lowest setting, its still quite loud, and at the highest, its frankly deafening.. You will also find with SBJ a constant 'whooshing' out of the speakers, which can't be reduced using the inbuilt volume controls.

So, rather tahn going to the trouble of fitting a 'pot', simply add some resistors inline with the speakers.. I used 180ohms, which bought the volume down enough to get rid of the whoosing and it also made the standard volume control more usable (i.e low is quiet, and high is loud (but not burst your ear drums loud)

you will find most if not all machines(leaving room for aa contradiction

) have a factory volume controle that as you said is too loud at its lowest there for if the guy/gal has asked for steves volume controles and paid the extra on the £99 deal then steve would have fitted the ones looking like the one in the picture

just my 2 cents worth of help

right i cant see any think like any of the volume controles i have seen your best bet is trace the speaker wires back to the bord and the aftermarket volume controle will be along that wire somewhere as you have to splice them inbetween to fit them maybe steve missed them out but its not like him launch him a quick email he is usualy on this time of night his address can be found at www.slotsdirect.tv under the contact us link

You havn't got a volume control fitted.. The speaker connections are the Yellow/White wire on each side of the PCB at the top of the door.. And also the connector on the right sidee with 2 grey wires (thats for the bass speaker at the bottom)

But as I said, you dont' need it.. SBJ works fine on the lowest volume setting for 'home use'..

To change the volume simply hold the left button (again on that top PCB) and use the buttons on the front to adjust the volume.

If you do find that the lowest is too loud (or the 'whooshing' annoys you), then as I said, adding resistors is a MUCH better idea than a volume control!

Need is a relative thing based upon the individuals own preferences. I added volume controls to my SBJ.

That unit does not appear to have been fitted with external volume controls. If you paid for this, get a refund.

I realize getting Gaku's added voulme controls to those across the pond would be difficult, but his (and Arby's) are without a doubt the best!

open the door, the very top small pc board(above the lcd) has 2 buttons on the upper left, press and hold left one, marked sound. this will generate a tone through the speakers continue to hold while you use the 2 buttons on front of door near the coin slot to adjust vol up or down.i am happy with the volume set slightly higher than all the way down.
