    Default Palot Error Codes

I did not get a manual for my Paylot machine so I am asking all of those who have one if they can help me with these questions.

1 How do you clear error codes the right way? I have found what appears to be a reset button near the power switch and have used it once to clear an error code but the code came back right away. I turned off the machine held the button in while powering back up is that the right way?

2 I took pics of buttons that need explaining
One is the little dial inside the clear green box.
One is the white knob extending out.
One is a button near the digital number readout. Is that the odds change button? and if so how to change them?
One is a metal hinged fork that seems to stop the balls what is it for?

3 I found the volume control but the machine is still too loud how do I get to speaker wire access so that I may install a volume control?

4 What are the buttons for above the max bet and spin buttons? They are Grey arrows pointing right and left and one grey round one.

5 Are there any Playguides available? Thanks so much in advance I really love this machine and cant wait to completely know it.

Here is a link to Sankyo's site with playguide:

Also have a look at these two videos from Pachiguide:

It appears that you are resetting the machine the right way. Perhaps the error condition still exists? What error code appears?

The dial inside the clear green box appears to be connected to the ball payout motor. Perhaps the dial is to rotate the payout cog wheel manually to assist in clearing out a jam.

The white knob extending out is your ball dump switch.

The button near the digital readout is likely another reset switch. You bring up an interesting question with respect to changing odds. If this machine follows it's pachinko roots, then no change is possible. If it follows it's pachislot roots then there may be a service switch, used in conjunction with the spin button like a pachislot.

The metal hinged fork is a ball stop preventing the reward hopper from dumping while servicing the payout ball track.

Can you access the speaker wires after opening the front door, like a pachinko.

The leftmost button above the max bet and spin buttons buys more balls when connected at a parlor. I'd guess the right triangular button calls a parlor attendant. Perhaps the right round grey button drains balls from the "shooter" tray to the payout tray below.

I'm speculating on these items as I've not yet seen my machine.

error 6 is a ram problem - do a hard reset.
error 7 is a ball jam or backup - remove some balls from overflow tray
error 8 - not enough balls in reward hopper (top hopper)

push reset button for soft reset
push and hold for a few seconds while turning on machine = hard reset.

    Have fun

***Attention Mod or Admin ***. Would it be possible to rename the heading of this thread to "Palot Error Codes" for easier access from the search engine, as long as Eddie doesn't mind.

Not only that I wouldnt mind ,as whatever would make it easier for all of the members access to this info, I wouldnt have any say whatsoever as to what the Pachitalk Gods do in reguards to editing or censoring posts or threads. It would be nice to think I did however!

Why don't you PM Arby and see it he'll sell you a copy of the manual he wrote for the Palot. It has pictures and labels and instructions for resetting machine and tells about error codes. I'm sure it would be reasonable.
