    Default Why only the left

I'm looking at some of the newer machines tha have the HD screens and cool themes but something I find disappointing is that they seem like only half a machine. The only place to shoot the balls is on the left side? Don't you guys find it really limiting. I love the LOTR theme but looking at the machine it looks like there is the main pocket and maybe one other. Are there any newer machines that don't just lop off the right side?

four of my pachinkos are right or left side play, my new We Sky is mostly left side play only, but there is a pocket on the left side of the screen that when a ball goes in
it entered in front of the screen and odds are good it will go into the center pocket for a video play.
I enjoy it just as much if not more than my other ones.

Of my "newer" machines the Spiderman Neo, DekaInca, and Thunderzone all have full nail patterns and play on both sides.

Only my Star Wars plays on the left. I like it and have no real issues with it.
I find that on my others I usually play more on the left any way cuz that is the side that the flipper pocket is. I like both, I think if the machine has really cool stuff filling up the right (ie R2D2) Then it's extra entertainment for me.

Left side only is fine for me. I'm trying to get the spins, regardless of which side the ball comes down.

    I don't mind.........

    I just LOVE Pachinko!!!!!

and I agree - if the case is full with interesting stuff too.....like Star Wars, Topgun and Garfield, etc - then I just have too much fun to notice....

Even with older machines, the right side of the machine is rarely (sometimes if ever) used. Most Japanese players choose to use the left side pattern to get balls into the claw because the right side pins are usually stingier.

That's interesting Rupan. I have very limited experience with modern pachinkos, and only own one. The one I have seem much more generous on the right side. Go figure?

    Maybe it's just not level.

I had the first same thought.

"They are only giving us half a machine".

And that is why I do not want a model like that. It is all personal preference. But I do have to admit that my favorite machine is not to generous when it comes to the playing field. The Reels are so big. "Fever Queen".. Or CASINO, as some people are calling it.

Heh, well to answer my own question, I think it wasn't level. I moved the machine to the other side of the room and now it hits more often on the left. -S

I have 2 vintage the Nisijin plays 80% on the right, the Daiichi is 60/40 but I adjusted the spring tension for midway landing (after 1 bounce).
The Nisijin pays like balls are free.

I have a Woody machine too. The volume control is in the back, behind the cover at the top. It's the small black switch in the center top area, move to the right to lower the volume. (I was going deaf playing it too before I found it.)
