I plan on polishing it up, I am going to use my motorcycle restoration tricks on it. MAjic cloth on the chrome and brass nail heads (dry treated cloth). 3m plastic polish.
with the 2 day shipping, i will have it tomorrow, I want to take the day off to be there for the delivery so I can keep the UPS driver form pitching the box off the truck.

Ok I admit I have a sickness, just picked up a fixer-upper might use it for some parts but will probably fix it up also.

I agree, it's a lot of fun to take these apart and restore them than to buy a unit and just hang it on the wall. I found out to take a vido or pictures as you go to help in puting it back together, Slow and easy and away we go.

    Looks good, Wally

I have nearly as much fun cleaning them and making them almost like new as playing them.

Thanks for the reminder as I do this all the time. I get all revved up to get a project going and forget to take before pictures. Great advice, It could save tons of time when I put it back together. Having the before pics shows how much hard work goes into re-furbishing an older machine!
I will do as little as possible tonight (UPS tracking indicates it is delivered) except unpack and photograph, hopfully shoot a few balls also.

I have recieved and played with the machine it is in really good shape and no shipping damage! Mike Kipp (the seller) did an excellent job packing!
he used Insulation styrofoam and hot melt glued it together. including the cardboard box, had to cut it out of the box

Don't go over board with restoring the machine looks nice as it is keep a bit of the old to it
I have one half as nice as yours, and made a case for it:

    Pine 1 x 8 planking
New case 8 inch wide and made it 2 inch longer to catch the balls used a piece of 1.5 inch pvc pipe to direct the balls into a tray (from the dollar store) on the bottom.
Drilled a hole in the top of the case to add balls into the tray (manual ball lifter)
Now you don’t have to open the door to add balls

I need to get the machines out of the living room! My Wife is giving me that look.
After I finish the Pachislo stands I will make cabinets or wall mounts for the vintage pachinkos. Oh I bought another vintage and recieved it last night, I am hooked!
The latest was packed poorly, loose foam, thin box, but it survived! It was ok probably because actual foam corners not bubble wrap was used., BAN BUBBLE WRAP FROM SHIPPING machines! I usually ask the seller NOT to use bubble wrap and double box/foam pad if possible.

    Small bubble bubble wrap=useless.
    Big bubble bubble wrap=priceless.

    But not everyone sells it.

I can't find 9-10 volf bulbs so I am converting to 2.33V flashlight bulbs, 2/$1.59@ Radio shack and 2 AA battery holder snaps into existing 9V connector, so all I need to do to convert from 10 to 2.33 volt is unplug 9v battery, plug in AA holder, change 2 bulbs. DONE!

Thanks Tulsa for bulb connect.I was using bulbman ,but having trouble with stock on some specialty bulbs (projectors and such) I finally got fed up with all the marigamaro and started converting ALL my machines to 12 v...Using 24 volt center tap transformers I can utilize two 12 outs for all needs (extras if needed) ALL ELECTRONICS for only 6.25$ each. Call'em for a bathroom reader (free mag.) 18008265432

I 'converted' the Nisijin to use std flashlight bulbs I can now pick these up at the grocery store. I had to re solder the payout switch now it is 100% functional. The payout light is bright! Miust be the Xeon bulb! It is mezerizing!
I am amazed how fun these simple machines are! the light touch on the lever, the bell clanging and light flashing at a win, the complex mechanisim, with the tulips opening and closing, all mechanical!
I fixed the 'new vangurd' up and it plays also, I need to post the alum tape (duct) repair of the top hopper. Kinda funny, but it was fast and is strong! I can fill the hopper right up and it holds! This was being sold on ebay as a decoration or parts machine, tape +time = working machine. I have 2 nails broken off on the playfield, but in non critical places.

Sorry about the goof on the name. The reason I asked if it was this one was I was bidding on several machines and this was one of them I was hoping to get for parts. LOL
