Default Making your ball tray slide

I just thought you might be intereted to see what I did with my "Ball Tray".. I was getting a little worried, as when the tray is full, sliding it makes it 'scrape' the surface that its on and it was starting to make scratches in my cabinet..

I was going to add some felt pads to the bottom, but its not flat, so there is nothing to stuck the pads too. So, the solution to this was to use some 'hot glue' to fill the corners on the base on which I have stuck the pads.

To get it flat, I did this

    1. Got my hot glue gun really hot
    2. Wedged in some scraps of wood, to stop the glue running all the way along the channel.
    3. Filled the area with glue, so that it was slightly raised/proud
    4. Once it was cool, cut (Sawed) of excess with a knife so that it was flush(ish) with the bottom of the tray.
    5. This left a rough surface, so I then used a blow lamp to gently heat the glue again which made it settle flat.

I was really pleased with the results and with the felt pads, the tray slides around like its on ice.

I hope this is useful to someone.

    All the best

    Jon
