Default Machines have errors upon start up?

I have 5 pashislos hooked up to a surge protector and when I fire them up my Metal Slug and Neo Magic Pulsar always have errors. I have to go inside and reset them in order for them to get in working order. Kind of embarrassing when company wants to see them. I'm no good under these conditions and always have to plan the setup sequence in my head. The weird thing is I can turn them back on within a few days with no problem, but if I wait a week or more it's the same story. Is this normal?

normal on many machines. the capacitors that power the memory loose their charge after a while.

My Neo Magic Pulsar and Neo Planet always have errors if I let them go without power for 2 weeks or so. The capacitors on this manufacturers machines just don't hold the necessary voltage over time. I try to turn on the surge protector once a week on the two machines that have this issue. It is the nature of the beast. Just do a reset, set your odds, push the black knob and start over. Good luck, Frank A, Jackson, NJ

All of my Yamasa machines do this, but none of the others do it. I am wondering if all the Yamasa machines have bad capacitors or is the problem in their design. If it is just bad capacitors why can't they be changed out? Does anyone know the answers to these questions?

Since Laz is coming over tonight, I doublechecked my machines, some needed resetting from sitting unplugged to long "like Gold X"

Others were reset back to level one. so, anytime you turn a machine on and it shows zero tokens, even though it doesn't need a reset, the odds may be switched back to level one.

its not a flaw , these machines rarely get turned off while on the floor at the parlors (off = lost revenue ) the cap provides enough to store settings during a power shortage and that was what it was designed to do .....almost every machine will have the same problem just some last longer than others .... unless you attach a lithium battery to the line or cap your going to have the same problem . if it bothers you that much play the machine a little more often like at least once a week and you shouldn't have the problem any more .
