Default Star Wars takes balls in the top but then spits them out

I have just had a little play with my Star Wars and found that when I pour some balls in at the top, a few seconds later they arrive in the front tray (where you put your balls when playing)

I have read several posts about similar things and thought that it was the Feed Gate lever being incorrectly set, but when I watched what was happening at the back I could see that some 'logic' was going on.

When I put balls in the square hopper, they roll down into the belly of the machine where they stop.. But then a few seconds later, there is a noise and they are 'dispensed' into the front tray.

Its not like they fall through.. Something electronic actually feeds them. You can hear it?

I don't think that its full.. I havn't put that many in.. Surely the 'hopper' at the very top should have balls in it...

Does anyone have any idea whats happening?

It doens't really matter as this Star Wars is being swapped due to its disappointing condition.. But I would like to learn how it all works before I get my 'real' machine.

I look forwards to your thoughts

    Jon

Yep not a problem whats happening is the machie is caching up on payouts that it ows if you win and the hopper is empty then it will store th epayout in the memory you need to keep filling th epayout hopper till it stops dispencing balls

it is not a dump bar problem as if it were the balls would come out through the used ball hole not into the payout tray at the front just keep pouring as you may have wracked up alot of wins if you havent put may balls in th ehopper since you had it
My rice krispies told me to do it

    You need more balls!!!!!!!!

Then you wouldn't have this problem

Ahha.. I see.. I understand now.. I need to put balls in until no more come out..

Thanks for that.. I never thought of that!!

I guess this is one area where Pachislos are actually better suited to a 'home' application as the act of playing them, actually keeps them full.. Where as with a Pachinko, you are responsible for keeping them topped up!!

    Cheers

    Jon

Not so as you can get pachinko or convert it to ciylic then you dont have to worry about it running out of balls just keep playing away or you can get a ball lifter that takes all the "used/lost" balls and puts them into the payout hopper so the more you play the fuller the hopper a little like pachislo
