Question DGI, nice touch or slow season?

I had a message on my home answering machine from DGI (Direct Gaming) asking me if I was still happy with the King Camel I got from them last Sept. They also mentioned they had good deals on extra tokens, lights, etc. and a good selection of games available. I thought it was a nice follow-up, but also wondered if things had gotten so slow in the Pachi market, that they were calling previous customers to drum up business.

Yeah sales are slow now. I get calls and e-mails constantly from suppliers. Prices are down now too. Only thing up in Value seems like Gas. Mike : )

Gas is certainly up in price, but I wouldn't say it's up in value, unless you own Exxon stock!

It's probably a bit of opportunistic marketing, but still....a nice touch and I always like that kind of follow up.

Ugh....gas....I finally went over the $50 to fill up the other day and I don't have a large tank.

Probably a combo of both. Would be nice to think that it was just concern for the customer. (I used to call my Customers twice a year to check on my work) DGI did pitch some sales deals. (Something I never would have done) but I suppose its nice to know that they do know who their customers are!

Another factor impacting sales is a shortage of coveted machines. If a vendor comes up with several Spin Lucks, Dragon Dice, Las Vegas, Harley Davidson (at a reasonable price), Austin Powers, Top Gun, etc., you would see a sudden increase in sales.

Seems like the pachi market is hurting real bad in the last year.

I am glad to hear that Mark here at DGI is doing what I have recently tasked him to do. That is to followup with past, current and future pachislo customers and enthusiasts! True the summer months have been slow, however what a great time to season someone to handle followups, inquiries as well as always being available to offer tech support.
