: dragon dice problem !!

well i have most of the bugs worked out on the dragon dice EXCEPT: any time the dice start to spin in the big and small games the right dice never stops! i have to open and momentarily shut off power to get it to stop. then i can continue play. also i noticed the frame around the upper glass and lights has a good dent in it, does anyone have a spare? as this is used on many different machines. thanks for any help.

Hi bb, you might want to check RJ's Journal. He put up an excellent set of pics with the dice mechanism, along with an explanation of the mechanics. The 3rd pic from the top is a good view. There is a sensor that has to be aligned properly or the dice won't act right. I had a similar problem with my DD and it took some tweaking to get it to work.

I have a couple sets of spare dice mechanisms, but no cabinet parts. So if you need any parts for the dice, let me know.

When you power up DD both dice reset themselves to snake eyes. At this point both tabs on the propshafts should be centered in the sensors.

no go aligned die so they snake eye after every restart. pulled die control board checked all contacts reseated all plugs and addedwhat i belive to be the correct amount of curses, but still no luck. rt die always continues to spin. will now try swapping cables at die. willing to bet problem moves then it will be on control board for sure.

well i swapped cables now neither one stops!!

eeeeeeeeek not good man you havent got a loose cable in the connector have you and inadvertantly created the same problem in both dice now ??

swapped back cords, still have original problem. now i'm kinda upset though!!! pulled upper panel with lites and glass(it has a big dent in corner i hadn't noticed when i recived it) and dicovered there are supposed to be lights on the dice! of course none were installed. pulled a lite out of another machine and checked sockets they are all OK. so where the hell was quality control when this one was shipped? this light is available on the internet but are $12.00 each X 4. will be calling DACA tomorrow. sounds like i have a bad controller card for the dice. guess this baby will be going back.no parts available.

Where are the lights? Are the Dice supposed to light up? If they are when are they supposed to light?

as you can see i have installed one bulb for testing. the center two appear to be lit with power on. the outside ones flash when the die on their side spins. note: red bars indicate where bulbs should be.

i found the correct # for bulb and they can be found for under $3.00 each 5 watt = RLX5/24 OR 10 watt = RLX10/24

Been following this thread, sorry to hear about the controller board. Was hoping I could send ya a couple plastic bits for the dice mech and get ya goin. Bummer.

BB, Thanks for the bulb part #'s. I see you had no trouble removing the top section.

As far as there operation, my machine when powered up, the dice lights do not light. They only light up during a reel spin when the dice rattle a little when stopping the reels,The left two bulbs for the left dice, the right two bulbs for the right dice. And during a high low chance roll, all four lights are lit.

For your spinning dice problem, try switching the sensors to see what happends.
