Is it the lure of the thought of bacon - or the aroma of it cooking. Not too sure I would get all excited about ONE piece of bacon for breakfast - unless of course, it is an hors dover to the main event!!

Not sure if I would eat the bacon after sitting out all night.
When my wife was expecting, the smell of bacon made herI still have bad memories of that.
