Lightbulb A Pachi Stand from PetsMart $59.99!

I spotted this nifty cabinet during my monthly run to Petsmart for cat litter:
    20 Gallon Aquarium Stand.

Ever since Target discontinued the Mudroom cabinets I've been looking for something like this. PetSmart has a LOT of stores so if there's one near you, this stand might be worth checking out. They're $59.99 and overall size is pretty close to the Mudroom cabinets. You can get oak or black finish. They feel really solid. I guess they have to be if they're gonna hold up a 150 lb. aquarium.

If ordering online, be aware that there is a $20 surcharge on each cabinet due to weight, but their basic shipping charge is based on order total and it's pretty reasonable.

    Just a thought.

    Nice find on this one.

I like the black one. It does appear it would go well with my mudroom cabinets.

Thanks. Ditto for me on the black one. I have 3 pachinkos in need of stands and haven't found anything that would be a better match for my Mudroom cabs.

Nifty find, possibly a little narrow in the depth but worth checking out ... though I beat ya to it, a while back...

Geez, I guess I missed that post! Thanks for the heads up on the measurements. That's kinda discouraging. :sigh1: If it's not deep enough for a pachislot, it's probably not deep enough to hold a pachinko either. Too bad, the thing looked like a perfect replacement for the Mudroom cabs.

At any rate, I concede...you posted it first!

Once you catch the pachi bug, it's funny how you're always looking for what could be a good stand wherever you go. I was at an IKEA the other day and kept saying, "That would make a good pachi stand". Or "This could be a great pachi stand if it was only a little taller".

I don't even need any stands!!

You got that right! You've got it made if you don't need any. I have one pachinko sitting on a Workmate bench, and another sitting naked on the floor. It's functional but it doesn't look too cool. For me, finding a good stand is only half the battle. What I wouldn't give for a lousy 6 more feet of wall space!

What you need is a pachi-elevator. It raises the pachi you want to play into position automatically while hiding the one your not playing.

That would be cool, or how about a revolving gizmo (like those old Timex watch displays)? 3 machines in a triangular box that rotates on an axle. Oh, and all of this assumes that I have the talent to build this stuff. Which I don't, unless it could be built with popsicle sticks and Elmo's glue.

TW...I replaced my mismatched stands with these...

    http://www.walmart.com/catalog/produ...uct_id=4529470

They are cheap, easy to get and work great. For me they are the perfect height with the right amount of surface area for a pachislot. They should be fine for a pachinko as well (I'm hoping to find out soon, as the other form of pachi-fever has hit me). I left the wheels off and added a 1/2" plywood back board to make it extra sturdy. I wouldn't go without doing that.

Nice! There's a Super Wally about 5 mins. from the office, I'll see if they have any of these during my lunch hour. Thanks for the tip.

that is EXACTLY what I have. and with the lip on the bottom without the wheels you have to pull the top of the machine in order to get it to tip.... If anyone missed my project and is interested in it, http://www.pachitalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11244

One of the first users and still like them the best and I have the wheels on , Got the chepe folding stools also and cut the leggs off about 2 1/2 inch and they are same height as the stands with the wheels on , My 2 tokens worth
These are my opinions and no body elses and you can't have them

I went to petsmart today and looked at the black one for a 55 gal tank - the unit is about 55 wide, 19 deep and 30 high. Perfect for two pachislos. I am going to get this one - good for 450 lbs or more. The wood color one looks a little cheap for me. But not bad for $150 to hold up two and have room for storage under them and drinks beside the machines.
