I just got back from wal-mart and got a 9.97 back of those cheap fountains to shoot off for the lil one... here in Indiana our sales tax is 6% well with the fireworks I had to pay $3 for this stupid membership card, and then turn around and pay an additional 5% fireworks tax so the government can create some kind of dumb arse safety thing. so all together I ended up paying $14.40 for a $9.97 bag of fireworks for my munchkin... I am gonna really regreting to see what its gonna cost me just to buy my normal "big boy" fireworks this year...

On the surface I would agree with you, but IMHO Nasa has losted it way. NASA should start doing some serious space exploration or stop wasting our money. Their recent string of flubs and half hearted attemps really disappoint me. I'm all for spending money and investing in space, but really, what has NASA done in the last 10 years that hasn't been done over and over and ..over......

We're grounding the Shuttle fleet in favor of a more "older" rocket design with the fuel tanks beind the astronauts instead of beside them in hopes from what I understand of keeping them alive in the event of a mishap. They need to finish the international space station to make what they've already invested worthwhile and hopefully get something for our money.
