    Default Need help with payout

    I have a vintage SANKYO pachinko machine that doesnt seem to pay off. I played it continuously for about five minutes and didnt receive any type of payoff. I even went as far as to test the machine by dropping balls into the pockets to see if it would pay off. Are pachinkos supposed to pay off everytime a ball lands in a pocket? I'm new and dont know a whole lot about these games.

    Welcome to Pachitalk, mrdo. Yes, your machine should pay out. Are there balls in the payout tray? Your Sankyo looks to be in very good shape. I'm sure someone here with more experience can guide you to a solution. I just wanted to say WELCOME!

    Oops link busted. OK, plan B. When all else fails go here;

    Check to see if the seesaw is reset by pushing it upwards (Step 14 in the checklist). This is all that my machine required and it works like a charm now. I very much enjoy playing with my vintage, often ahead of my more flashy modern machines. Enjoy.

    Perhaps my problem is that I dont have a whole lot of,ummm,balls! I have about 100 inside the machine. I had to throw out alot due to bad rusting. So, my next step should be to get more balls. Maybe this will fix my problem? What say you!

    I attatched a photo of my reset pin ( I think). Could someone verify that this IS a reset pin. It doesnt resemble any other photos I have viewed. The seesaw is in the up position.

    Don't throw your balls away, clean them, and if they really are that bad sell them as vintage on ebay

    I can get 250 balls for 25.00 Is that a good deal? Here is a pic of my USED balls that came w/the machine. Tell me, what can I do to get these clean again. I dont have access to walnut shells or a rock/coin polisher. Any household products? How about goof-off. Will that work? Do i soak,scrub,shake,stir? Please tell me, guide me, learn me! thanks!

    put your balls in an old cotton sock, dip it in a mixture of CLR and water. roll back and forth in the sock and then rinse in hot water, put them in a towel and towel dry

    some do look beyond saving!!!!

    I wouldn't say 250 for $25 is a great deal, though before I knew where to get them cheap (in Canada), I once spent $75 for 300! - On ebay you can get up to 500 for $15 if you look around, though shipping is a b*tch.

    For cleaning I don't trust CLR any more, it seems to eat away more than just the dirt (especially if you leave it for any length of time or if the chrome is worn). But it does work. I have had good luck with Brake Cleaner (it's very very noxious stuff though) . The benefit of solvents is they cut through grease link nothing else. The down side of using something like a car polish is that it leaves wax residue, which can dirty up your channels. The vibraroty tumblers use a kind of paste solvent to speed up the process of taking off the dirt and tarnish, and most of the paste is absorbed by the media.

    First, the blue button is the reset, but the 'teeter' is already up.

    All your 'pay' balls are stuck in the machine, and yes, you don't have enough balls. About 500 wil work a vintage pretty well, more is better.

    In that first pic, I think you can see the balls aren't making it to the 'teeter'. Give the machine a jolt or shake and see if that unjams it. Then keep feeding balls to the upper hopper till they all come out.

    Im working on getting more balls to see if it works. I picked up a power supply today. It's 9V @ 500 MA. it only has two wires. Which do I hook them up to? My pachinko has the regular BLACK...WHITE...RED wires on back.
