My friend was driving his Gas powered RC car in the street, as cars would approach he would drive it towards the curb. One car that was comming down the street went after his car and ran it over on purpose. The car was filled with teenagers having fun at my friends expense.

When it rains out ,my same friend likes to drive into puddles along the curb to soak pedestrians on the sidewalk.

I hate that he does this and said to him maybe its payback for what he does to people in the rain. He says how can I compare, its not the same.

My reply was, You never know what state of mind the people could be in. They could be comming or going to a funeral a wedding or some important function. They could be sick or carrying very imporant documents that could be ruined. They could have laptops etc not to mention the clothes that they may be wearing which could be permanently ruined by whatever could be in the street water. The guys in the car were just as stupid as you when you soak people and his reply? Its not the same thing!

Same thing to me, i think it would be a lot worse to get splashed by a car with a bunch of water. could easily ruin an ipod/cell phone/laptop on a person.

I agree...I'd just tell him 'karma's a (insert appropriate word) isn't it?' He's not going to like it but his car getting smashed is cumlative payback for all of the soakings he's administered.

Sounds like the driver of the other car had been watching Ocean's Eleven. Anyone remember that scene?

Working at a library that happens to be near a junior high and high school, I see this sort of thing all of the time...just plain insensitivity. I just hoisted a kid from our building today for calling another kid an obviously derogatory term used toward homosexuals. I don't necessarily believe in divine retribution but it sort of surprises me that people can't see the reflection of themselves in things that happen to them.
