Popeye and Volume Control

Brand new and I just ebayed myself a Popeye and boy is it LOUD.

So I found this community and was at first very grateful to find a post that pointed out where the onboard volume control was.

Little did I know that it had already been set to the lowest setting!

So now i am trying to find some information on where to get a good volume control and more importantly the right way to install it.

I am sorry if I missed the post but a quick search of "volume control" didn't provide me with instructions or suggestions.

Welcome to Pachitalk !!!

I've had troubles trying to add L-Pads to my Popeye machine. I went with the Syscom pots and everything works fine now. Here's a link to their site

The 5 for $15 is what you'll want to get and they're real easy to install.

Hi Charles, and congrats on getting the Popeye.
I too recently aquired one and the neighbors could hear Olive Oyl screaming.
Please see the section I posted (with pictures) on the install of a radio-shack "L" pad control.
It is NOT the cheapest way to do it, but it works great, easy to install and uses the factory wiring harness.
Make sure to buy the STEREO unit, use the left channel on the red/white pair and the right chanel on the blue/white pair of wires.
Radio-Shack even has the velcro to stick it to the inside of the front door.
